Good news if you are looking for a deal on OEM New or Used Rims and Tires. I have 2 purchases from…read morethem in the last month. The first one was for a C220T wagon that needed winter tires and you know in Germany the tires-rims have to be TüV or they shoot you on the spot(or deport you). So I'm trying to lecture this guy, Waldemar, about what I need, about TüV, don't rip me off, I know what I'm doing and he's rolling his eyes as if to say 'dude, shut up, I know more about tires than you could ever know'. He was right. I was humbled because he rattled off the exact rim sizes based on the options you ordered for the car, knows which years can share sizes, etc. Then he walks me to the back where there is a container full of used (but in pretty darn good shape-close to new!) rims and tires. I picked up a set of OEM Daimler rims (fancy ones) with some tread left on the winter tires for 750 plus chump change for mounting. The summer set was nicely washed and bagged - that was nice. My second set was for my 997 and I just got another deal on 4 new P Zeros, mounting, balancing, rims cleaned. This is my go-to shop where the car hits the road. They speak English so don't worry. There are couches, coffee machine, and probably beer if you ask them. Go Navy!
