Having had seven trees removed from our previous Durham property, I would like to say that I have at least a bit of experience working with tree removal/trimming companies in central NC. We selected Trees Are Us. The estimate process was easy-peasy. The pricing was very good. There were challenges of not killing a property line fence and access to one tree that needed serious work. Ronnie (Crew Chief), his deputy Miguel, and the rest of the crew arrived in a timely fashion on the cited date, with company notification via phone when they were enroute. Ronnie is super responsible, technically knowledgeable and his crew was very hard working. Ronnie and Miguel demonstrated that TAU has people with high level skill sets. The work done was superb. Nothing damaged and the post job cleanup was (no exaggeration) better than any of the Durham work done by other companies. Trees Are Us management: Ronnie is an excellent face of your company; a true ambassador of your brand. I also want to thank your scheduler, Wren, who - at her initiative - rescheduled us when a storm resulted in such wet ground that the TAU truck would have damaged our nice backyard lawn. Requested estimates on Yelp and received 5 with Green Leaves being the lowest. With no reviews on Yelp at the time, it was a little concerning but after communicating with Tommy, he eased those concerns. It turns out, Tommy and his crew do great work! The tree had a natural split near the bottom which was rotting so decided to have it completely removed. He arrived around 3pm and completed the work about 5 hours later. The work area was cleared of all debris and the stump ground and leveled out. His payment options include cash or credit card and once you are in agreement with the job and cost, he sends a contract for you to sign. In this case, he was actually able to start the works the next day even though the contract wasn't signed until late the previous night!
