Being a life-long diabetic, I can't express enough how important foot care is. Mrs. E and I received a thorough, professional measurement. We had a semi-lengthy discussion on our lifestyle and how we would be using our footwear. Hiking? Running? Casual strolling? etc. We then tried on three or four different styles of boot before settling on our investment. I'm still floored over the time and meticulous nature in which they assisted us in arriving at the perfect boot for each of us. I can justify the cost in a purchase like this. So, here goes!! This happened to my 85 yr young mother in law on this past Monday. She had made a…read morepurchase of shoes from Soft Moc Prince George, she tried them at home for a couple days and decided she wasnt going to be happy with them. She took them back to the store for a refund, a nice female clerk helped her do the refund, gave her money back, but the till came up with error that they could not refund as they had not taken in any cash at that time. The nice female clerk called someone in the back to come out, and a male, came out and told her he could not do the refund, she would have to give the money back and come back later. Well my mother in law doesnt drive and lives out in the country, she explained that to him so he told her he could hang on to the shoes and do a refund later, she did not feel comfortable doing that. She said no, I paid cash, I am returning now, so I want my refund! She then proceeded to take the money that was given to her and go to leave the store. Believe this , the male associate reached over the counter and GRABBED her purse from her cart, he told her she could have it back when she gave him the cash back!! She was bullied into giving it back!! They then issued her a gift card, as if she would ever shop there again. Well, when we found out about this, we were livid!! Wednesday morning I call the store to speak to the manager and HE doesnt start till 10:30, I call back and ask for the manager, this male voice comes on and says, yes?? I say "are you the manager? He says yes, I ask his name and he says "D-----" so I ask him if he will be in all day and he says yes, I tell him that my husband, myself and my mother in law will be in later in afternoon to see him about an incident that happened on Monday. Well we go in to store and ask for the manager and a young lady comes out, so I say the guy I spoke to this morning said he was the manager??? Well as it turns out the guy manager is the one that grabbed her purse!! The young lady who says she is the manager say he has been suspended for a week!! Confused?? I was, the lady Manager, apologized, and after a discussion gave mom her cash back. Well we are still very upset with the fact of elder abuse so my husband called the corporate 1800# and got the confirmation the the Man is actually the manager and the girl is an assistant, Very dishonest on their part. They "corporate" were not to concerned about any of it, but confirmed the he was indeed suspended, for a week. He also asked that the regional manager maybe give him a call and was told that they just do not have time to call customers!! I am writing this because I need to get opinions on what you think we should do! Should we go to RCMP? Elder abuse council? What do you think? Thanks for listening. So angry

I went into marks today hoping to get some decent work gear. As winter is approaching our climate…read moreis getting colder and colder everday. As i began to browse the aisles it became apparent that upkeep was non existent. I soon discovered multiple examples of shirts/longjohns and underlayers that had been pulled out of there packaging and thrown aside. I understand that this is a result of inconsiderate customers. Be that as it may this is no excuse for the lack of attention to detail, presentation and proper presentation of marks products. After sifting through what little stock was available i had found one decent fitting thermal shirt that i was willing to purchase. Ok. On to the boots. I gave up within 30 seconds as the only boots available were size 14 or above. So here i am with my single thermal shirt that fit semi decently heading towards checkout. The line up was of 12 people. With one staff member at checkout. I stood in line for a total of about 15 minutes while waiting for this line to move. It didn't budge. Needless to say i left without a single item that i needed that day. I would totally agree that covid has created a tough environment for retail stores around the world. But not to the extent of the lack of customer service i had experienced at this particular marks location. 10 out of 10 would not suggest to anyone. 0 out of 10 stars.
