With tooth pain as bad as I have I asked to get seen by the doc and the lady that answered said I couldn't get another appointment until next week Tuesday. So I said maybe I should look for a new dentist because the pain was unbearable. She says "good luck" So I say did you really just say that? She said yes good luck with finding a new dentist we can no longer help you. Her name was Jessica. So much for having a caring team to answer phones and take care of your clients. It was the most disrespectful time I've ever had dealing with a dentist/doctor. I was just astounded by the way I was treated, cheers to you Jessica!!!!!!!!

I would not recommend Great Lakes Dental based on my experience as a new patient…read more Before scheduling appointments for my son and me, I specifically called to confirm that our insurance was accepted and that our routine cleanings would be covered. I was assured that they were. However, after our visits, we received a bill for more than $300 for services that we believed would be covered by insurance. When I contacted the billing department multiple times to resolve the issue, I was told that the office charges more than what my insurance allows for a cleaning. Had this been explained upfront, I could have made a more informed decision about receiving care there. I was also disappointed with how the billing situation was handled. Despite repeated attempts to discuss the matter, no meaningful resolution was offered. We even received a past-due notice before ever receiving a proper statement outlining the charges. The clinical experience itself was not particularly positive. The hygienist was chewing gum during the appointment and was not especially gentle. My son was given fluoride treatment without anyone discussing it with me beforehand or asking for permission. The office environment also felt dated and less welcoming than other dental practices we have visited locally. Overall, between the unexpected charges, lack of communication regarding costs, billing frustrations, and the quality of the patient experience, this was not a positive experience for our family. I would encourage anyone considering this office to carefully verify all costs in writing before receiving treatment.
