We love buying chicken swirls -their specialty item. I've never seen them anywhere else. This time we added the bacon wrapped filets. A tray of rolls and cheese straws. All were a big hit for thanksgiving 3day family time. Steak so tender. Swirls always consistent. The rolls tasted homemade. And everyone can add cheese straws for the holidays. I've lived 3 miles from Mark's Mart for 44 years and it's always been the friendliest, welcoming, kind employees store ever. I knew Mr & Mrs King for a pretty long time and you couldn't meet any nicer humans ever. The store has been added onto and expanded in so many ways. We have never bought not one thing that we didn't love. They have such a big selection to choose from. Steaks, rotisserie chicken, chicken swirls, pork chop twirls, bbq ribs and sandwiches made everyday. Large amount of salads, pies, cakes, cheese straws, peanut brittle, etc... I could go on and on and not cover it all. They have large selection of wines and all kinda of home made breads. The personal are always so helpful. But they also have everyday ingredients we somehow always manage to run out of here and there. You know eggs, sugar, bread and ice cream. I can tell you if you want really good food choice like you can not get in most grocery stores , then check out Mark's Mart . You will not be disappointed. And they have good parking lot with nice wooden furniture for sale on the porch area. Super nice store. Hey, even when Oprah came to Selma, she came to Mark's. You will not regret it. Crazy....... We dropped our deer off at Nichol's processor from our morning hunt. Don't know if you ever been to a deer processor before but it's an experience in itself. Dead animals, dead animal parts, and dead animal pieces everywhere. Blood puddles and the smell will sober you right up! Your mama is gonna be hollerin' mad if you are drinking and hunting, so don't do that kids! You can after though! You really could run a reality show about hunting and all the characters you will meet as part of the process. Oh, yeah Duck Dynasty was a thing, but this is deer! Anyways deer processing is not what I came to talk about. At least not the only thing. We left the processor and headed West instead of East since my bro in law thought he remembered a cool little store that way. He was right! It sure did not look like much from the outside, men in hunting gear, and most in pickup trucks, but when we stepped through the front door...........holy hell! Mark's is a loaded specialty store full of all kinds of goodness! I mean high end items, steaks, fresh oysters, every kind of wine you can think of, precooked meals, and rotisserie chicken. Belgian beer? Yep! Dom Perignon? Yep to that too! Txakoli wine from the Basque country in Spain? You know it! I mean........we were leaning on each other in disbelief. In Selma, in the country, and near a deer processor? WTF. We were sure someone was punking us. I am pretty sure I remember lobster tails there too...... I am going to make Mark's a regular stop of mine from Thanksgiving weekend to early February every year. Maybe I should go back next weekend and get that 2012 Dom. You too should go. If you are out at Nichols processing and are getting hangry, looking at all that deer meat, swing by Mark's. It is just down the road a hair. read more

8oz filet were malted in your mouth!!!!! Was a little disappointed in twice baked potatoes. Not that good. Which is very unusual.
