Marks is a common and favorite store of our families. as my husband works in the trades, we have been dedicated to Marks for all of our work we are, sportswear, and pretty much everything else for over 10 years. when I went to check out, I stated again what trade my husband worked in and the discount that needed to be applied. The cashier couldn't find the code in the box, so called his manager. And I have to say, I have never in my life been so rudely treated by someone in customer service LET ALONE a person in management. She approached the counter in quite an obviously horrible mood. She grabbed the binder out of his hands and proceeded to flip through the book. She then told me that the code was not in there. I said "well it should be as we have been coming here for years and never had a problem". She then looked at me and said "if you would stop interrupting me I could explain to you that the book has changed." I had not even interrupted her. Then again I told her that I was here just over a month ago, with no issues. She didon't say a word, but simply closed the book and walked away without saying a thing. At this point, I was absolutely floored. The cashier most definitely seemed to be under stress, for good reason. He then looked at me with a shaking voice, and said "let's just leave it". So I paid for my items and then continued to leave the store. As I walked out of the store, I said to her "do you not have a manager?" and she yjen stated that she WAS the manager. Again, I am bewildered at the teatment coming from this woman. For somebody who works in customer service, nonetheless, a manager, the attitude and approach was completely disrespectful. I will be reaching out to the general manager. I did just want to make this publicly known. This is absolutely unacceptable. read more

Staff are poorly trained at dealing with customers. They are rude, impulsive, unfriendly, and unprofessional. They management is clearly setting a bad example as well. I found them to be rude before Covid started and since then it's become horrible. As of today I have decided to never give them my business again. read more

This 2 star rating is based on THIS Mark's overall chaotic feel and lack of staff... I like the quality of clothing put out by Mark's for both men and women, and my household has done a fair bit of shopping there over the past few years; however, this particular location seems to be in a constant state of mess (things strewn about everywhere), and heaven help you if you need to find a sales associate to help you get something down off of the wall! About a month ago, in early December I was doing some Christmas shopping & I asked for help getting a sweater off the wall at the sales counter and was told to go wait by my item and they would send someone over... I waited... after 10 minutes I figured they'd forgotten and went back to the sales counter & asked again - same response. When I answered that I had been waiting for 10 minutes now, I got an eye roll and she picked up the phone (presumably to get someone over to help me) so I went back over to the wall where the item I needed was hanging. On the way back I passed an associate who made eye contact with me and asked if there was anything she could help me with so I mentioned getting this item off of the wall for me and she said she'd be right over, so I headed back to the wall, certain that 1, if not 2, associates would be 'right over'. I waited... 10 more minutes (granted, I realize 10 minutes, 20 in total, is not a very long time in the grand scheme of things, but if you are too busy then you need more staff or you need to tell me that I will be waiting 20 minutes!) before I started to get very annoyed and, finally, I left. I went over to the Mark's in West Kelowna the day AFTER Christmas and got my item in a very timely fashion and ON SALE too!! read more

Kelowna store needs better staff who actually act like they work there. Terrible customer service-there isn't any.

I was at the store this past Sunday with my husband and brother-in-law who is obviously mentally challenged. The older sales woman approached the three of us while we were shopping and made conversation. This same women served us when we approached the register. I was purchasing underwear for my obviously mentally challenged brother-in-law. This women while looking at my B.I.L referred to him as my husband. Naturally a reasonably attractive women is not going to be married to a mentally challenged man. The pig headed women did that to be mean! The idiot got off lucky. I did not want to chance embarrassing my B.I.L by telling her off. If she ever does that again I will have him wait outside while I make certain the whole store hears my reaction . read more
