dropped off a Samnsung TV in September 2024. paid $100 for diagnostic. two months later in nov2024, he calls me to say the total repair is $400, I agreed. 3 months later, we call to inquiry status. he said to give my name fir him to call me. went 6 times with the same story. grew tired, and told him I intend to file small claim with court. next day he calls me to comenget the tv that it has been fix. arrived home and he had. it even toinch nor repaired the TV. basically he stole $100.00 and kept the TV for months. stay away read more

From reading these reviews of Mark's Electronic, it appears he's not changed his scheme from his business practice in 1986. I took a turntable in to his shop to have the belt replaced. Two months later, it still hadn't been touched. At the time he was collecting $30 'diagnostic fees' from people but not doing any work. You were lucky if you could ever find the shop open. Looks like nothing much has changed according to these reviews. read more

I had an expensive ceiling fan that stopped working (just the fan...not the light) and I called to see if they could take a look at it. They said they didn't specialize but would take a look at it. I paid an $80 fee for this review. Several months later (yes, months), I called to get a status and it was pretty obvious nothing had been done. I asked if they were still going to look and they told me that they had no technical data to use and could not find any. I told them I would get it and send it if they were going to review the fans. I sent it within a couple of days. Another month or so later, I get a call and they tell me that they reached out to Minka Aire and they told them that they did not want repairs to be done by outside people and they had their own repair places. They could not give information on the technical specs etc. I went and picked up the fan and called Minka's technical line myself. They emailed me a complete drawing on how to fix it within 3 minutes and could not have been more helpful. It is obvious that no one did a thing for the $80 deposit left and months and months wasted. They worked on my large screen tv which was shutting off periodically and coming back on. Kept the tv about 3 weeks and charged over $300. Got it back, and within 10 days it was doing the same thing. Mark's claimed it was something else, and would have to start charging all over again. I got nothing for $300, and he wouldn't offer any refund. read more

I called this place Tuesday, Oct. 7th to find out more about having the back of my IPhone XS Max fixed. I was told that the techs were not there and would be back Wednesday afternoon in the evening. I decided to stop by after work at around 5:15 pm because they were still open. When I came in, I was told the techs already left for the day and that if I left my information, someone would give me a call back with what could be done. I waited for a call today and didn't hear anything, so I decided to call just in case my sticky got lost or something. I did NOT want to miss these techs again. I died the gentleman if they were in and he said they were not. I then proceeded to ask him if there was a specific timeframe for me to get in touch with them because I "Really need to get this phone fixed." This man said to me, "Well, you better find someone to fix it for you then" and hung up on me... What's customer service? From the looks of the place, you guys need to be trying to gain more business... Not the other way around. read more

I brought in a car stereo for repair. I was clear with the front desk clerk that the item needed to be returned by next week's Thursday. I was told that would be enough time. I paid $100 just for them to take a look at it. When I called the next week, I was told it was going to take longer, and I was very clear that it had to be done by the next day as we were leaving town. It was not done the next day, it was in pieces and though they had removed the CDs from the changer, they had done no other work. Then they said, "Well, you should have brought it in a year ago when you first contacted us," which is completely beside the point and irrelevant. All that mattered was when it was taken in. We paid $130 for a CD disc changer to be taken into pieces and had the CDs removed over a 9-day period. Electronics repair offices are very few and far between, yes. Worst Company ever. Paid $50.00 told it wouldn't be more than $100 for a HDMI.... after a week never called me back, I called 3 times and left a msg. My Boyfriend called and didn't leave a msg but he got a call back. He was screening my calls. He told my Boyfriend it would be $180 - $200 to replace the cable. I called again from my # no answer. Probably the worst service repair center in the world. This place is the reason small businesses fail. I brought my phone in on July 8th for a cracked screen(iPhone 6s plus 128gb). 2 days later I came by and the lady said she hadn't gotten to it yet but, was planning on getting to it later that day. A couple weeks goes by and I call to see what's going on. The same lady says that there's a problem with the screen and it's not turning on now. She informed me they would call my alternate phone number and get ahold of me when they fixed it. A month goes by, no big deal as I had a back up phone, I call and a man answers the phone. He asked me what I was looking for and instead of looking for my phone he asks me how long ago I brought it in. I said 51 days ago(he didn't know at this time this was my third attempt to get my phone) so he proceeds to question why it took my two months to check on my phone and says he thinks they don't have it. So a. (Umm what?! You don't have my 800$ phone...) I asked what he meant and he said they probably sold it. Sold my phone after 51 days. He said he would look for it and get back to me. Needlesstosay a week went by with no response from them. I called back and left a message. With 15 years active duty military this is by far the most unprofessional place I've ever been to and had the privilege of dealing with. BBB case is being opened. Will update at a later time when case is resolved and/or this place resolves the issue. I would give 0 stars but, this isn't an option. BBB can't help me but, it's noted. Could take them to civil court and find my imei through the cell companies that would eventually lead back to this place. Not worth it at this point. Very piss poor place. Do not go here. Take your phone somewhere reputable that won't treat their customers like this. read more

Great service from Mark and Donna. Reset iPod Touch, fixed daughters cracked screen on iPad, and got my puter up and running after a 20 oz coffee dump. Receives 1 Star only because there is nothing less ! Took a laptop to be repaired because of a on/off button that was stuck. Repaired after two weeks AND $200. Took it home pushed it on and the same problem. Took it back the next day and was told that it worked when it left and that something else was done to it. Go literally anywhere else. Literally anywhere. Either the owner or the techs are gouging you and doing shoddy work as well. I'm not talking about paying $50 up front, that is not the issue here. And by the way don't expect any kind of status on your item, there is no accountability at this shop. The item is either done or it is not done so don't expect to be able to call and ask when it will be done or what repairs are being made. So lets talk about what is going on here. I took in an NES, fairly easy to repair with respect to modern electronics. Its a very basic system. I had already dissambled it and checked the components I could get to, looked at the pcb traces, inspected the ICs, checked the inputs. The only part I could not get to was in a soldered shut metal box and I didn't have the tool to remove that much solder or the patience to do it by hand. $50 for the downpayment cost, shouldn't really be more than that since I already did some troubleshooting right? Pretty sure I know what the issue is and it isn't an expensive one. The repair I thought that my system was in need of takes 2 hours maximum and requires one or two capacitors. They had my disassembled console for 3 weeks. The NES uses electrolytic capacitors, sounds scary right? Not really, they are the cheapest capacitors you can buy because they have been around forever, also incredibly easy to install since they slide through a hole and are soldered in place. My bill was $96. $25 for capacitors and $70 for hours. Capacitors you could buy for less than a or close to a dollar a piece. And hint, there are not 25 capacitors in the system. Based on the joints I see they replaced two maybe three capacitors. I wish I was their supplier because I would love to sell them components at 5 - 10x market price. Lets also talk about the joints, now when you solder the finished product should be obviously shiny, if it comes out dull then you have a "cold joint" which don't last as long and generally underperform when compared to a properly soldered joint. All the joints they soldered are dull. So they can't solder the simplest joints and charge you 10x market for components. Next up the techs attached a lovely note saying they could not test for functionality. So 96 bucks, couldn't be bothered to call me for any extra parts they might need, that I absolutely have, to verify that their repair works. Which it doesn't by the way. I do minor repairs on my own electronics, the only reason I didn't repair this myself was I thought it might be cheaper than buying a desoldering gun. Almost a hundred dollars later with no actual substantial work done and no real repair effort made I can see I was mistaken. The fact that they take $50 up front was no big deal. Until they came back and charged me essentially the value of the console. The $50 upfront fee covers the cost of you not returning for your item, understandable. However the jacked up prices no doubt serve to purposefully make you want to abandon your item so they can turn around and sell it. You are literally paying them to fix an item that they will sell if you don't claim it. Its one thing to charge a nominal $20 fee and get customers a quote then do the repair. Its another to charge a $50 fee, inflated parts prices, do the repair with no input, and never provide any transparency. read more

Call the manufacturer to fix your TV. I was charged the $80 diagnostic fee which I agreed. I picked up my TV less than 24 hours later since the manufacturer offered to fix my TV at no cost even though they said that they wouldn't before I dropped off the TV. Mark was on vacation when I dropped and picked up the TV and the nice lady behind the front desk told me that nobody even touched the TV and that she'd ask Mark if I could receive a refund. I called Mark and he said either way I wasn't getting a refund. How can you stand behind your business when you didn't even touch my TV and I still get charged the $80 "diagnostic" fee?
