The bad about this Lowe's: more than any Lowe's I've ever been to, this one seems to have a huge issue with shoplifting. Normally this wouldn't affect the customer, but what people do is take the product out of the packaging and leave the packaging on the shelf, which means that there's many times when Lowe's THINKS they have something in stock, but when you go to get it the shelf is filled with empty packaging. It's infuriating, especially when you then have to drive 30 minutes to the next Lowe's. Plumbing fittings are the worst example of this, so beware if you're here to buy plumbing stuff. I'm not sure if it's related to the shoplifting or not, but items in the wrong place also stands out here among all other Lowe's. So when you're trying to find something, you really have to search through all the shelves which takes loads of time and means you might likely miss what you're looking for.

Southern surplus in Augusta is a pretty great place.... It's not nearly as nice as the one in…read moreAthens... But that is just due to the size. The one in Athens is huge and the one in Augusta is small... BUT the guys at the Augusta store are really nice, and they have a good variety of stuff, it's a good place to go for a good deal. We like to go at least once a month just to see what they have.... Keep it up southern surplus!
