I'm standing right in front of you??? I don't think they even see the contradiction: It does everything to make you FEEL like its a "old fashioned barbershop experience" yet they can't even tell you if you can have an appt when you walk in. Keep in mind, its not because it was busy, it was because....well. So today, i thought i'd go back, give it a try again. But when i called, on a Monday, to make an appt, i got some kind of run around, they now don't have my info, can't remember who I was, i don't have a "full and complete profile" and could I go on line and enter my credit card info to book an appt? The odd thing is, I work just a few blocks, and I could walk there, and it COULD be my regular barbershop, I was hoping to find an old barbershop. But for some reason, they just seem to mix high tech and a high stress and unwieldy appt process and think that it will "fit in" with the whole "Old fashioned" theme. But of course, it just doesn't. Sadly, I thought the concept and branding was so nice they could export it and open even more, but now i see what's missing. It looks like an old fashioned barbershop, but isn't.

He observed and felt through my hair for a few minutes and then declared 'I know what we're going to do.' Hardly even told me what it would be like. Unfortunately I trusted the process. 2) This turned out to be both the most expensive haircut, and the lowest-quality haircut that I have ever received. I was very unhappy with the way it turned out... It will take a few months to grow it back out again enough to do the style I want. That being said, the atmosphere was really nice and my barber was really great to talk to. We had a great chat and he was super cool. So that was the upside. Would not recommend. Better to go somewhere where they will do the cut that YOU want.

Justin, one of the best barbers they had, doesn't work here anymore. (2) Also, their hours are falsely advertised. They're closed on Mondays, and I just swung by at 4:00pm and the place is completely empty an hour before their alleged closing time. (3) Lastly, I find this place to be elitist- like you can only get your haircut here if you're some kind of stud who can afford getting a fade 2x a month. Last time I went here, the barbers saw my long hair and teasingly asked me: "so, what salon do you go to?" I'm a college student, and I'm often too broke to get a haircut for up to a few months at a time. So just because I'm a white guy who let his hair grow out, (because I was too broke to cut it) I go to a salon, apparently? They treated me like a joke and that I didn't belong in a barber shop because I wasn't "macho enough" with my long hair. I hate this macho-only culture. The last barber I had barely even accepted the job, he hated that I had longer hair, and he made me feel stupid for being there. I did not feel welcome, and my haircut was not worth $45. Listen, idk who works here now, but if there are any good and friendly barbers still working here; let me know in a reply. Thank you.

That was the vibe he picked up as to how they made him feel as a walk in and then did this to his hair.

I was seated pretty quickly, but my hairstylist, Lora, immediately started trying to convince me to change my style. I was informed that "girls should have long hair" and that my preferred haircut was going to be "too short" to look pretty. I wasn't asking for anything crazy, just for my hair to be trimmed to a little bit under my ears. I eventually convinced her that it was my hair and what I wanted. She started cutting my hair and I was turned away from the mirror. I was not offered any way to see what was going on during the cut. When she finished, I saw that she had not honored my request and had cut only a little bit off the front of my hair and the back of my hair was the same length. I asked her to trim it again and reminded her of my initial request. She trimmed off a little bit more but not as much as I wanted. She also overcharged me - the front board advertised it as being $20 for a women's cut but she charged me $24. I didn't want to hassle with them anymore and left. It has been several days and I am finding lots of chunks of hair that were cut unevenly - too long or too short. I had asked for a straight line.
