Beware of their estimates! I received an estimate of…read more$697.08, the lowest of the 3 individually owned body shops in Waycross. Since McVeigh's was the cheapest I went with them. I called them and scheduled an appointment. The appointment was 3 weeks after the estimate of $697.08. When I picked up my vehicle it was $842.08. When I quested why it was more money, the lady, said I do not make the bill, I just print it. I did not have my estimate with me so I went ahead and paid the bill. When I got home I compared the bill with the estimate. The difference $20 shipping fee, $10 flex agent, $5 waste disposal fee, $106 increase in the labor and a misc charge for $35. I called back and spoke with a different lady. She could not find the original estimate and asked me to take a picture of it and send it to her, which I did. She then said the $20 shipping fee we can do anything about that. She then said we spray coat on the bumper and if you have any problems, Toyota warranty's the bumper and we warranty the work. The their was a long silence and I hung up. Had I know that they were going to charge me more then the estimate, I would have went with one of the other body shops in Waycross. Their estimate was lowering the the final bill from McVeigh's. As a 55 year only man, I have received many estimates in my life, and I have never had anyone increase the price after just 3 weeks, for the same work that was estimated. I could have understood if it was 3 months later. From now own, I know now go to a different body shop.

He came out, looked at my vehicle, and fixed the issue on the spot without asking for anything in return. What truly amazed me was that another shop had tried to charge me to fix the same issue while pretending something major was wrong. Ed's honesty, professionalism, and genuine respect stood in complete contrast to that experience. His integrity and good heart truly deserve recognition. Even though this was my first time ever visiting his business, Ed has absolutely earned a lifetime customer. It did take my car about three weeks to get back but only because the at-fault insurance company took FOREVER to respond. The paint job however was pretty bad on the fender... 4/10, it looks okay from 5ft but there's obvious signs of poor prep work, dirt getting painted over, and solid edges on the corners from them just laying the body panels on the ground while wet. Paint is already starting to chip on said panel within a day of picking up the car. Mechanical repair 3/10, returned the car to me with a bent shock just because "it passed alignment"... doesnt mean the shock isn't dangerous to drive on. I chose to go to this shop instead of a national chain with my insurance because i wanted to support a local business but I should have been more thorough in my inspection before pickup.

An hour later the job was done, they said they did the best they could straightening out a bent bumper attachment(hmm no mention to using those parts I paid for??). The end result was marginally better than before I brought vehicle to them. I sent before and after photos to the owner asking if this was the best they could do, but they didn't reply. Vehicle is a 2020 Nissan Rogue, and very clean with no previous accidents. Bottom line, if you have a lease car and insurance sends you to these guys, they are fine. If you are looking for real craftsmanship, I would not recommend them.
