THE BIG: On the ground floor of the W Algarve. Tall ceilings and serving Portuguese cuisine. Valet parking available.
THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I wanted to try the piri piri chicken here as we went to a local piri piri chicken spot the night before. Let me tell you, the chicken here is alright, the local ones outside are much better.
Additionally we got two sides (asparagus and eggplant). Both were alright. The wife got the Algarvan stew (Cataplana), which is essentially Portuguese fish stew. It had a bunch of seafood mixed in and tasted just like the sea.
Wines were alright. We got our standard white and red. Both were from Portugal and paired nicely with the dishes.
THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, alright food and alright service. We spent around 104 euros for 4 dishes and two glasses of wine. If you're in the W, the better move is Paper Moon. read more
