I happened to see this event on the open so I decided to grab the kids and give it a try. Kids are…read more16 so they are easy to get to go to things like this because they love to eat. You know I guess I love to eat too. So when we walked in we had to park a block away because there were a lot of cars around. Unfortunately Jacksonville doesn't have very many parking garages in useful locations so you kind of have to search for parking but we managed to find one in front of the Chamblain's book mine. Right when we walked in there was this itty-bitty little camp her that was selling coffee and I didn't get any but I thought that was kind of cute. There was also a stage with the band performing in they were actually pretty good. There were several types of stands half of the plaza and the other half was pretty much dedicated to food trucks and stands. I got some really remarkable toffee although it was $12 for an 8 ounce can but it was really really good. There were some interesting crafts for sale also. Were a bunch of food trucks there including some regular favorites and a couple I was not familiar with. I don't know if they rotate them out or not but it was interesting to be able to sample all the different trucks in the same location. It was kind of chilly tonight, it would've been better if it wasn't so cold but of course that's not the fault of the planners. I will definitely be back for the next one of these because I really enjoyed it.

It's worth a trip to Hemming Plaza to check out this market. If you want to check out some of the…read morefood trucks that you have bookmarked on your list, this is the place to go. It is a foodie's paradise a long with fresh produce and local shopping all under the big Jacksonville sky. A very unique market because it's held in the evenings where you could plan a cool "date night" with your significant other, sipping on some local beers, checking out the artist and vendors and really feeling part of everything that's making Jax a cool place to live. Just get there early enough so parking shouldn't ever be an issue as street spots are free after 6pm for everyone. Thanks City of Jacksonville.

Small but mighty- apparently on the first Saturday monthly- I was in route to another place when I…read morepassed by the market and thought- I'm going to stop on the way back. And I did. Tiny- there were only 10 vendors but it also wasn't the 1st Saturday- it was the Saturday before Christmas- the 18th. It reminded me of another market across town that was also normally small and promised over 30 vendors- but I wasn't going to make it the 30 minute drive out that way. So- I got out and was surprised! I loved quite a few vendors! They had 3 vendors selling candles- 1 had other goods, soaps, teas and such. There was a lady who was selling hand churned, flavored butters- whaaatttt??? Yes please. Another lady who was up-cycling various items and making them into fabulous artistic pieces- including tons of wind chimes. I am a sucker for wind chimes, but I need them to have a pretty sound along with looking nice. She had a silver tea pot with spoons hanging for the chimes, adorned with glass beads that I grabbed- it was simply lovely. I also found a tent with crystals, jewelry, sage bundles and more- well.... hello- a few crystals later I left with a bag. Hmmm- there was something else. I bought from 4 of the ten vendors- but I can't remember what the last item was. Memory slipping. But- I was happily delighted in the variety of items and quality of crafts and goods. I hope they have more vendors on their regular dates and I am going to follow them on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/parkstmarketjax/ They have a vendor application on the page if you are interested. Happy shopping!

It looks like it would be full of all kinds of vegetables, but you don't go inside the building. The vendors are outside. It was only 4 vendors. but I loved it. A young lady that sells body products and one is Yoni so if you would like to get your Yoni cleanse, go see her. I love me some mushrooms. all kinds of mushrooms. The mushroom man was there; he grows them himself. Then the vegetables from the actual farm, they were picked yesterday. They have greens, so mustard, collards, kale and turnups and these are young turnups, they are all white. The greens were only $3.00 per bunch. Make sure you look at every leaf front and back ( if you know, you know) They harvest their own honey, they have a bee farm in the back! You can tour the farm and the bee farm; you can also volunteer to help harvest the produce. I really like that. And then those crackers.......Lort have mercy! These ain't for the children kind of crackers, not even for the teenagers! These are for the grown folk! They are like chez-it with a lot of flavor. Man, everyone I tasted was chef's kiss! Man, this will be next level on your Charcuterie Board! The Jalapeno one, it has a kick, after you have eaten about 4 of them, so if your heat sensitive beware They had other desert items on the table, I didn't even want to taste them, they would have had all my coin! They aren't there every week. I think she said every other week. zoom in on the card, and email or check out the website I see myself coming here on a regular basis for sure! I went by their yesterday 1/2/26 it looked like it's no longer in business? I went out of my way to go check it out. The front gate was open, but it didn't look like it was even operational. Should I decide to go back, I will call first. Food None Ambiance no life!

I love seeing our progress after a volunteer day, it brings me joy knowing that Eartha's legacy lives through us all who have spent time on this farm. I highly encourage a visit here, go alone, go with family, go during the market. Choose an activity and let the staff teach you the rest. Great learning experience each time I visit.
