Yet, when i had a serious question about them after a few days, I called for the PA's help. The desk people would not let me talk to her or even relay a message. Even though I had been informed that they were THERE for me. It seems to be the norm these days, but it really felt like a cattle call to me on injection day. Never met the doctor till I walked in for the shots. At least he removed his mask when I said You must be the doctor. We had made arrangements with billing to hold off billing until our HSA card reloaded on Feb. 1. It was like pulling teeth, but they finally agreed to that. Every surgery/procedure I've had done, the cost has always included the follow up visit to check on the patient's well being. I arrived today for my follow up, with the PA or NA, whatever she is, NOT the doctor. Was told yet another $160 was due. I let her know that billing said they would charge after the card was loaded (It's the 29th of January). I said, my HSA card will be loaded tomorrow on pay day, can you just take the money out of that tomorrow? No, she said. Had to pay it now. Billing's comment was it was ONLY arranged for the cost of the injection procedure, not an office visit. I asked her if they couldn't work with me for one day and I would pay it. Nope. There was no cooperation, no understanding, no grace. I told her to remove me as a patient and left. Horrible way to treat a patient dealing with pain. The injections were SO painful to start with and they did not give me relief, so now I just have to deal with this pain until..... Pain Specialists of America in Waco only care about the money they make. It's pretty sad. They give you hope, but it's all a smokescreen.

The second time I came here with my husband, the woman behind the counter, never acknowledge us, never even looked at us. I had to address her, I said hello, she didn't even look at me when she spoke to me, and said hello, I asked her how she was doing, she just said, fine, she never looked up, never cracked a smile, similar to the first time we came here. The wait is long, and the atmosphere here is negative. I believe my husband can get better care somewhere else, but this is covered by insurance and because of his issue, he cannot travel far and this is the closest place we can go to. If management reads this, my advice, interview your employees that are supposed to be your first impression of your company a lot closer.

I've been getting spinal injections for years to relieve back pain. I've also had two spinal…read moresurgeries so I pretty much know what to expect. I switched to Central Texas Pain Center a few months ago due to convenience but have been extremely disappointed in their process. I had to have a pre-injection consultation (although my surgeon already wrote out what I needed specifically) so they could collect an office visit fee. During this visit I waited 45 minutes to spend less than two minutes with the doctor. They also require a follow up appointment two weeks following the injections so that they can collect another office visit fee. The injections did provide the relief I needed but overall I feel they are out to make as much money as possible from each patient rather than focus on the clients' needs.

He has ruined my spine.. my life, the chronic pain he's left me with from his hands 2005-2016.. 12 yrs of him!!‍ My bad.. no his!!!!!!!! After 5 cervical spine surgeries which he did through my throat.. which after the 3rd he should have went through the back.. he put me at high risk of losing my ability to swallow..the last 2 failed because of him.. I had a new surgeon fix his mistakes.. overlapping plates in my neck.. misery for a year.. no fusion for a year. He blamed me.. that what he did which couldn't be removed but fixed properly was my fault! Funny new surgeon.. new surgery.. fusion within 7 weeks. Ok.. yea???!!! I also had lumbar surgery which I can not have hardware removed (hopefully I don't hurt myself or break them..which can happen) because I'd bleed to death on the table. Screws that go through my bone into pelvic area.. not suppose to go through the bone that far.. one through a disc space.. through the disc. Look like drywall screws He could have stabilized my spine more but didn't. Let me go through a domino effect in my neck. 5 surgeries y'all.. C3/4 C5/6 then back to C4/6.. then cadaver bone without my permission on C6/7 (failed) then overlapping plates at C6/7-7T1. New surgery at an amazing university I had to have C5-T2 fused with rods on the backside of neck.. I'm completely fused!! I'd probably be dead or seriously messed up had I not sought an alternative dr and research him. Yea.. run away from him!! He had the audacity to fire me the day before he was going to do my surgery because I questioned his work and without his knowledge of me having 2 opinions of what he did to me.. he told me to find another surgeon. If I could find a lawyer that wasn't scared to sue a dr for this I would. I have until March 2018 to find one. Made sure I had copies of everything asap after I found everything out. Plus he's been sued for other issues he should be reprimanded for!! Look him up!!
