Hello, I am writing…read morethis message because I feel that you have failed me as my Primary Care Provider. I have seen you or your NP, Mr. Abraham Ballah for my current condition with my back pain. The medication prescribed has been helping to get my pain from level 8 to level 5. An x-ray was ordered on the day that I saw Mr. Ballah. No one reached out to me to tell me my results. On 9/9 I left my job in an ambulance to the Emergency Department because of the pain in my back. The ED doctor suggested an MRI to see the Spine Center. The MRI was done on 9/8. However, the MRI was not read by the time of my appointment at the Spine Center with Jason Langlois, PA. on 9/18. It was a wasted appointment. I faxed my paperwork for PLML. You then referred me to the Spine Center to sign off on my PLML paperwork. Upon contacting the Spine Center, I was told that they do not sign off of PLML paperwork. I was also told by the representative that my PCP is supposed to help me with this. I spoke to the Dr. Chen at my appointment at the Spine Center on 10/18 about helping me with the PLML paperwork, and she told me that she has not ever done that. You, Dr. Semaan have basically dusted your hands with my care about my back situation once I saw the Spine Center on 9/18. I have been out of work since 9/9 due to my condition. My financial income has been severely my ability to pay my medical bills and caused a great deal of anxiety as well as bad mental health. I am unable to go back to work until a doctor listens to me. You, Dr. Semaan are my primary doctor. Which means to me that you are the doctor that should be my first PATIENT ADVOCATE! The person that referred you to me has left your care due to your poor bed side manner and lack of care for your patients. I will need to find another provider. I will be cancelling all future appointments. Very Disappointed, Ugeana Grant

I have been dealing with a major back issue and I patiently waited to be scheduled to see Dr. Chira. I understand during COVID-19 times now, that everything can be more slow-paced and a health risk; however, I felt as if I was put on the back burner. I had to head to the ER in order for myself to get any type of doctor's note for my job. I did not feel comfortable going back to work in my condition and wanted to get answers! A week and a half later, I finally did see Dr. Chira, and there was still no proper diagnosis. I, myself, recommended to get a MRI done to get a better understanding of what's going on with my back. Also, to see what issues are going on. I had 1 more follow-up appointment with Dr. Chira after that; that being after my MRI was done and results were in. Still no clear-cut answers from him. I had to continually repeat with him what medications I am on; as well as what I have been doing since my back injury. It's as if he didn't remember anything I had told him prior? Not to mention Dr. Chira explicitly wanted me to call my pharmacy to "double-check" what medications I am on so there is no "confusion." I was dumbfounded and couldn't believe my PCP was not believing me. Dr. Chira handled my diagnosis with no clear-cut answers. I had to bring up physical therapy as an option. I expressed concern and interest in Short Term Disability because my back injury is going to take a lot more time that I had imagined apparently. I am looking out for the wealth fare of my job! Dr. Chira cringed at my vocal expression with STD! Why? I was looking for guidance and reassurance. I was looking for help and concern. All I received was disconnect and lack of empathy. Lastly, when Dr. Chira brought up what I do for work, he mentioned maybe I should find another job? How can I make that assumption when I need to make sure and take care of my issue first. Especially before I can decided anything like that? He was not helping me with responses such as that! Not to mention one of his office receptionists, a Miss Stacey. The very few times I spoke with her over the phone in these last 3 weeks, was, only a complete disregard for my feelings and disrespectfulness. I am finding a new PCP and have no intention of going back to Dr. Chira. He failed me as my PCP; and that's saying a lot for me considering I had been seeing him for almost 10 years. Shame on you Dr. Chira!

I was in an out by 6:00 with a letter for my employer and only down $60! In the time between when I walked in and when I left, the doctor probably saw about 4 or 5 patients and was still very friendly, kind, and helpful to me, taking his time in asking questions and listening to my answers.

I'm going to try to break down my experience to a minimum but keep in mind a LOT happened in between but I would need to write a book in order to write everything that I went thru . In 2014 Dr lacava Dx'd me with Lyme disease. Prior to this I saw multiple doctors that treated me horrible, didnt listen to me, treated me like I was just there for the attention, treated me like it was all in my head, this includes the ER, neurology, & Infectious disease. my Primary doctors NP was the one who said "lets just do a lyme test" that started my journey reading about lyme disease and the ineffectiveness of the testing and CDC guidelines etc. I became an expert myself, I found dr lacava who did a whole bunch of blood tests and found i did in fact have lyme. and babesia . treated me for a year with anti malaria, antibiotics and to give you an idea how i felt? I thought i was dying a slow death and even wrote journals to both my kids so they would have something special from me when i was gone. No one but dr lacava LISTENED to me. TESTED me and TREATED me the way I should have been Listened to tested and treated. after a year i finally felt like a living human again . Some visits yes i did have to wait but that just shows that he DOES listen to ALL his patients no matter how long it took . he NEVER rushed me EVER. I was prescribed 12 different supplements to take which was both questioned and ridiculed by my PCP & Functional Medicine Doctor I signed up with shortly after my third appointment with Dr. Lacava. Also when I had a tick bite that was not confirmed to have lyme his solution was to prescribe 600mg of Doxycycline to take daily for 30 days consecutively described as my PCP as the "nuclear option" which he was glad to find out I consulted with him first about this. Lastly we had discussed in my second appt. that he would help me with FMLA paperwork if I was not feeling better by our third appt. I reluctantly went to the third because of the cost and I had not made any progress since the second in the hopes he would keep his word, which at the end of the third he said he could not be "burdened by the paperwork" and to ask my PCP. During this appointment I was informed that I was not taking the correct amount of multivitamins he prescribed which was the sole reason I was not recovering and the other 11 prescribed supplements were ineffective without the multi vitamins. He looked me strait in the face and told me "You just don't want to get better", because I was not taking the correct amount of vitamins, regardless of the thousands of dollars spent on testing and treatment with him I clearly just did not want to get better. I've heard at one time he prescribed adequate care but he has fallen short of his ability as a provider. Don't waste your time, money, or effort here. He should not be trusted with anyone's health.
