However,after buying a boat you're gonna need service. This has been a hassle every time. I'm gonna skip to my issues now. Bought a 50k boat in 2020,and took it to be serviced and it set outside for almost 2 weeks and they weedeatted my tires and crap was all over it from mowing. Need it serviced again today and they said i cannot make an appointment that I need to bring it and it will sit outside for 2 weeks until they can get to it bc they have been stood up by people and had an empty shop a couple hours. That is complete bunk that I have to let it sit outside for weeks. My boat has never set outside and I would bring it couple days before they can get to it but not a couple weeks.

They sent me to South Florida where, for the first five years of my Federal Law Enforcement career, I was a Special Agent, assigned to Marine Drug Interdiction. In addition to that experience, I have owned and operated boats since the mid '70's. I am an experienced Boat Operator, and I have a 100 Ton Ocean Master's Certificate. In late 2019, we replaced our Scarab with a 2020 NauticStar 2302 Center Console, a design favored by Law Enforcement everywhere. We bought the boat from Coast to Coast Marine in Somerset, KY who recommended Sick Speed Marine to install the electronics. I like a boat outfitted with the equipment I am used to - VHF, RADAR, SONAR, Directional Remote Controlled Searchlight, etc. I've found that most local boaters do not use VHF radios - a must have option in South Florida where this boat will spend much of it's time. My friends would characterize me as being somewhat "OCD," and others might use more colorful adjectives but, suffice it to say, anything less than first rate equipment, properly installed, and fully functional is wholly unacceptable to me. The sea is an unforgiving place, and on more than one occasion, my safety has depended upon it. I was offered a fair price, and I accepted the proposed invoice as written, with the understanding that everything would be professionally installed. **Disappointed and Out Nearly $1,000 - Still No Fix**…read more While the front desk staff at C&O Marine are consistently friendly and professional, the rest of my experience has been incredibly frustrating. The operations manager made promises he didn't keep, and the service manager was downright rude. When things went south, I tried to escalate the issue, but the owner wouldn't even speak with me. After spending nearly $1,000, my trolling motor is still not fixed. To make matters worse, when I raised my concerns to the owner, I received a call from the operations manager telling me I was the problem. That was the final straw. Customer service should be about accountability and solutions, not deflection and disrespect. I won't be returning, and I'd caution others to think twice before trusting C&O Marine with their equipment or money.
