After talking with Dr. Liu, I had an adjustment to relax my neck and back. Then came the relaxing part--lying on a spinal massage bed. My orthopedist said that chirpopractors tend to be very helpful with this problem. When i went in, my wife literally had to help me walk from the car to the clinic. Dr. Gavin reviewed my x-rays, asked numerous questions and then gave me an exam. Then he surprised me with, "did they tell you that you also have a protruding L5, which is likely contributing to much of your pain?" Wow! No they hadn't, but in later appointments my PT said he was correct. The bottom line is, I needed help walking in and was in great pain, but walked out on my own nearly pain free.
