After resetting the furnace 3 times and changing the batteries in my thermostat, I had no choice but to call for an emergency service call. I called my furnace repair service that I'd used for 6 years. After explaining I had no heat, the on-call representative gave me the 3rd degree...Are you a customer? What brand? How old is the furnace? Who installed it? Then he told me he'd call me back. 20 minutes later he called to inform me that all their techs were out of town. My options were to wait a day or two for an available tech or call another company. It was minus 20 degrees Celsius!!! My house was sitting at 11 degrees!! I called David Murray and explained my dilemma. Brad at David Murray said he'd be very happy to help me out and would appreciate my business. Ted was on site shortly thereafter and had my house warm and toasty in no time and the cost was more than reasonable. AWESOME! Refuse to change, argue on on, offered to send inspector, I said send. Now threatening to tear out my unit. The install general details are sloopy. Outside base barely big enough. Unit on a 2 foot stand that should be bolted down. There are holes for bolts, they did come and put small screws in the base and #10 to hold unit to base, tiny screws not bolts. Dealing with Jamie, a jerk. The job was not properly done, minimal at best and refusing to remedy.

Installation guys were great in walkaround the house to determine where to install the AC, and very knowledgeable about local bylaw of property line (side note: Reliance walkaround would have led to AC being installed in less than 4ft from property line which is in violation of bylaw). Installation guys answered all my questions about procedures/parts installed inside the house and furnace. Get the service plan- worth it, and its not expensive at all. Its peace of mind should that day come in the middle of winter and your furnace goes haywire. Service guys Dan and Rob are responsible, knowledge, clean and respectful. They are thorough about the service work and seem to like what they do. Staff at the office are polite and professional. I trust this business. NOTE: Reliance would have put a lien against the house when financing. They are not up front about this- while its in the fine print, a friend told me.

We canceled our maintenance plan in plenty of time but were charged for the entire month. They are expensive and definitely not worth the almost $700 a year for the msintenance plan. Try another maintenence company.
