I wanted to add more information besides the screenshots already provided regarding my horrible experience with Mark Eric upholstery. He did not refund my money nor return my unfinished cushion, regardless of its state. First of all, he never mentioned the possibility of this job taking 6 months. As a matter of fact, his "professional" comment was, how soon do you need this? to which I answered, "If I could have it by Nov 5th, that would be great!" (Keep in mind this was on Oct 19th) he said, "That is not a problem; this job usually takes 4 hours to complete; I can have it done by then". Mind you, he is the professional; he is the one who can tell me how long it will take, given that he knows what needs to be done. On top of that, after going days without answering his phone, his excuse was always, "My phone got stolen, "yet he would call me randomly at 3 am, and one day, he decided to leave me a message saying " fuck you bitch". Please take a look at the transcript of this message and match the date and time stamp as one of the screenshots provided. There is no excuse for his unprofessionalism, and he excuses himself by saying, "This is not a life or death situation" because, according to him, I have more places to sit."..?? excuse me. Last time I checked, this was not about how many cushions my couch has. It was about THE ONE YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED OR WANT TO PROVIDE ME A REFUND FOR!. UPDATE: he finally reached out and got the job done on Dec 8th. It was a long process but it is finally done. I took my sofa cushion to Mark Eric Upholstery to fix on October 19, 2024. The owner, Marc Eric, received the cushion, quoted me $300 for the job, and agreed to have it ready by November 5, 2024; that day, I paid a deposit of $150. That deadline was not met, and a new deadline was set for November 20, 2024. The new deadline was also not met; the owner kept ignoring my calls until he answered and mentioned that he had mistakenly used the fabric intended for my cushion on another project and had to repurchase it. A third deadline was set for November 27, 2024, which was also missed. The owner promised to have it done by the next day, November 28, 2024. I visited his shop on that day, and he promised to have it done before 6 p.m. It did not happen. On November 29, 2024, I went to pick up my cushion in whatever state it was and to get a refund, but I was refused either. The owner, Mark Eric, said he would have it ready within one, two, three, or four hours or maybe the next day. That same day, I sent him a text complaining about the missed deadlines and the lack of professionalism, and I was given a new deadline of December 1, 2024.
