The secretary was unprofessional and rudely said "I'm gonna have to call you back" and interrupted me while I was speaking and then called me back hours later. When I told her (again) that my daughter needs to be evaluated for autism she said "Oh, I don't know if Dr. Ellinger will even see you if it's just a diagnosis. He probably won't want to deal with the paperwork." WHAT? How extremely unethical, rude, and insensitive. I'm calling to tell you I'm concerned that my daughter has autism and you tell me that the "doctor" doesn't want to do the paperwork? She said she'd call me back to confirm and HOURS LATER she called back to tell me that he would indeed not see my daughter and that I'm on my own. I have a PhD in psychology and I'm DISGUSTED that a "doctor" would actually turn away a child in need for selfish, money hungry reasons. Do yourself a favor and find a different psychologist. They're a dime a dozen (I'm allowed to say that since I'm a psychologist myself).
