You'd think then that any other part of the equation wouldn't matter…read more However in medical care, sometimes it's just as important that administrative things need to happen promptly. Problematic test results need to be delivered. If you need something time sensitive, such as a pre authorization for testing, etc, that won't happen in a timely manner. An appeal to insurance for medication, etc. The doctor's assistant will clearly tell you she's the only one doing pre authorizations, as a reason to take multiple weeks to even fill out the forms. If the doctor could get a whole new support staff it would be entirely different.
