I liked that he was pretty transparent from the get go on all the variables that could affect the price of the job, i.e. height of the ceiling, weight of the light fixture, and more. Not only was he available the next day and super speedy in his response, Doug did a fantastic and thorough job installing my new chandelier. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work and wants to ensure it's perfect. He even measured the newly installed light several times to be sure it was even from every angle. I think it's probably a good quality to be a perfectionist when it comes to installing electrical devices, don't you? He even discarded the box the new chandelier came in and happily moved the old one to my garage. The whole process only took an hour and he was so courteous and professional, too. I'll need some more work done soon and will definitely be calling Windy Hill.

It was Saturday morning on Memorial Holiday weekend and I went to Yelp. Several places were "closed" and I happened upon Windy Hill; they were open. I called...and Doug answered! I explained my situation and I heard a sigh, followed by, "Unfortunately I'm booked up for today and through next Tuesday." I asked if he knew anyone else. He said not off the top of his head since it was the holiday weekend. He then asked what my problem was. I explained and, after a pause, he asked where I lived. I said Cedar Park. Another pause. He said give him a couple of hours and he'll try to come round later. Doug called back two hours later, saying he was done with his appointments, and asked if I still needed help. I did. I'm a landlord, only visiting for the weekend, and couldn't leave the house like this - the tenants couldn't get in or out. Doug said he'd be there in 20 mins. He was. He quickly diagnosed the problem (amateur-hour on my part!!) and fixed it within an hour. He could have gouged me on the pricing, due to my circumstances, but I felt his price was reasonable. I was/am very grateful to Doug - he put himself out to help a fellow person in distress, and this is the kind of service I love to see. I highly recommend him and will be using him going forward for my electrical needs. Thanks Doug! BTW, this is a real review. I don't know Doug from Adam. This did happen...

I had a situation where my alarm went off on my grinder pump (not a good thing) if you know what a grinder pump's responsibility is. I called Rhea plumbing (they did the entire plumbing install on my new home construction) and they had a crew in route within 10 minutes! Kenny's office staff (Katie and Jamie) were knowledgable and courteous. His service technicians were excellent, knew their stuff and wasted no time once on site (important @ $175/hr). They had me up and "pumping" in 1 3/4 hrs. But there was still an electrical issue with the floats sending signals improperly to the pump. Kenny personally came out to diagnose the issue and correct it. That's two trip charges which he waived both! Bottom line - it's debatable that this issue would be considered warranty work since its two years after the initial install, that made no difference to Kenny - he wanted me happy and satisfied and waived all charges! Don't expect this - they can't always work for free! Rhea Plumbing in Llano is not my closest plumber, but I'll never consider going any where else for all my plumbing needs! T. P. I installed a new AC unit, and Brett and one foot in the grave Roger, were required to lay a concrete slab for the unit and hook up for the electric. We just had an inspection done and they had failed to meet code in terms of both wiring and slab for unit. We have had to redo both projects to meet code, based on Texas code. We also contracted them for wood work for the duct entry to attic. The wooden entrance and reinforcing wooden structure, created for entrance to the attic has been in place for less than 6 months and has just fallen out of the roof. Brett overcharges, sub contracts his employees and never appear on site to manage these random sub contractors.. One of his employees walked off the job and we then referenced him further: a high end retailor shop in San Marcos who contracted Brett were more than enthusiastic to let us know they kicked him off the job on day two.
