The lights and decorations were enchanting and the interior of the barn was more magical than anything I could have imagined. The staff were consistently helpful and Betty called me every couple of weeks (I booked about 6 mos out) to make sure I knew everything that was going on. She gave me and my family multiple tours of the ground prior to the day to make sure everything was what I was looking for. They had open catering which was perfect for me and they also let me bring my own alcohol (no hard liquor without licensed bartender). It was very reasonably priced and me and my husband also got the bridal sweet in the cottage right across the property for the wedding night. If I had the opportunity to plan my wedding again I would choose this place no matter the season! Thank you Betty

Ceremonies on the veranda are lovely and provide some of the best views in Wichita. The staircase to access this area is incredibly tight, so advise your guests to arrive early to be seated in a timely manner. Use vendors who have been at the Boathouse before and understand the best way for events to flow to make your guests comfortable. It's a great space- make it worth your money and work with vendors who know how to use it. The prices are high for the services offered.

There also isn't a cafe, which I think would be a fun addition if they ever plan on expanding or remodeling. The exhibits were wonderful though, and I thought for the price it was a great deal.
