Home to the International Baccalaureate Program with more kids becoming National Merit Finalists than another high school in Kansas and sends kid to some of the most prestigious universities in the world who are prepared for real life situations. Great sports and has one of the best swim teams in Kansas who has been the undefeated city champ for too long to count! Anybody can fit into this diverse school. There are dozens of clubs for anyone! I really like the classic elements of elementary school that they have preserved here such as the pledge of allegiance, recess, dodgeball and other loved physical education games, rounded curriculum, culture, and just everything "special" that they add. They've balanced really well with also being technologically current and on the cutting edge of education. I also like that each student has art, music, and computer classes included into their education as well as some of the best field trips and athletic programs. I highly recommend Holy Cross for an unbeatable school experience for parents and kids.

I moved to Wichita on a long-term but temporary assignment for work, having never visited or even met anyone from Wichita. On my 3rd day in town, I happened to pick up a CityArts catalog at a local coffee shop and immediately scrambled to make the registration deadline for the Silversmithing class. This is honestly the best move I've made in ages -- the class is CHEAP at $125 for 10 weeks/25 hours of instruction and so so so so so worth it. I've now taken 2 terms and am sad to be signing up for my final term before leaving my assignment in Kansas. Kathy has been an AMAZING teacher -- I've gone from knowing near NOTHING about metalwork to designing and crafting brass and silver pieces that strangers have asked to purchase. I could not recommend Kathi's classes more emphatically.
