Great venue for all occasions. Amazing food mixed with a great staff. You can't go wrong booking an event or having them cater.

Prairie Hill Vineyard - North Lake Bridge to the largest willow tree in Kansas!

Prairie Hill Vineyard

(6 reviews)

Hi, Danielle and Rose, Well...the dust has settled and I've…read morefinally managed to sort and store all the wedding décor for the next time. Hopefully not for another 5+ years though because I'm too old to plan another one before then! I can't begin to thank you and Rose for all the things you did to make Sierra and Steven's wedding such a special day - especially considering the tremendous challenges we faced due to the weather. Sierra and Steven's most cherished desire was to have the ceremony itself at the vineyard, even if that meant they would be married in the midst of rain and thunderstorms. Fortunately they were blessed to have an amazing and unexpected break in the weather. A break that lasted long enough for the wedding ceremony to take place at the vineyard and to make it possible for them to have a very tender and intimate "first look" in the place Sierra fell in love with when she first saw your family's vineyard. They were overjoyed to be able to spend the afternoon capturing the essence and beautiful setting of the vineyard in their before, during, and after ceremony pictures. It just melted their hearts because it was exactly what they wanted! Our family and friends continue to give us amazing feedback about the vineyard's enchanting setting and the great service you and your team provided in locating an alternate location for the reception since we knew the break in the weather would not last throughout the evening. Even though we would have loved to have the entire event at the vineyard, all of those involved in planning the wedding, and most importantly the bride and groom, couldn't have been any happier with the guidance and undeniable patience you showed in helping move the reception for the safety and comfort of our guests. An especially big "thank you" and hug to Rose for all the behind the scenes work and details she took care of preparing the reception venue while we were at the ceremony venue. I was very impressed with you and your staff's expertise and ability to have such a tremendous calming effect during what could have been a very anxious and stressful time. Danielle, from the first day we met you and Rose, it was very noticeable and clear to all of us that your main concern is in doing whatever is necessary to both enhance and ensure the bride and groom have the most unforgettable and memorable experience they could want or hope for. This speaks very highly of your dedication and enthusiasm for what you do and why you do it so well. I truly hope to have an opportunity (or an excuse) to stop by and see you again. I will be sure to share photos with you as soon as they are available but I didn't want to wait any longer in expressing our gratitude and appreciation for all you did! Once again, thank you ever so much for helping Sierra and Steven, as well as our family and friends, create and experience such fond and unforgettable memories. Take care and give yourself a big hug for me, ~Mary

Although we flew in from San Diego- this trip was at first planned to Tulsa & OKC. But, I told hubby... Well, if we're gonna be flying out that way- we're headed to Wichita and here's the reason why! I mean, he was going through a capybara phase! And I couldn't wait to share the Capybara Experience with him! We purchased our Single Day tickets- two months before our selected date. While browsing thru available experiences- everything was super limited. So, during my initial purchase of Single Day- we did book the Giraffe and Rhino Experience. I really wanted to feed Mars- but, after reading some past reviews on Google- I decided not to. And during our visit, Pluto was the one out in the display area. Although there is feeding for the Pygmy hippo- on the schedule- I think the upgraded Pygmy Hippo Family Meet & Greet will be more of an exclusive experience. Don't quote me on that though. Feel free to contact someone who has actually done that experience on Yelp or contact TWP. The capybaras were so adorable! Pinto & Garbanzo were the best! The Gibbons were so yappy first thing in the morning & then after the lunch hour! So glad we did the Rhino & Giraffe experience! If you paid for an upgraded experience- you will meet in the VIP lounge, next to Luna's Cantina each time. That way staff can escort you to the Behind The Scenes locations. We brought a roll of quarters- since there are feeding machine locations. One by the Lemurs (great photo opp). The food machine is for the koi. This machine is known to get jammed. :/. The Lemurs will have their own separate food. And the others are located by the Alpacas & goats. It was easier for us to have an empty cup and just plop all the food in that, instead of the palm of your hands or the little bags. When you check into the main office, you will be handed a daily schedule. Letting you know about Cantina hours (Breakfast, lunch, & snacks). For the price we paid- airfare & ticket entry- I can't recall if the Capybara experience had multiple times available. Because I selected the 9:30am slot- and that didn't give us any time at all to snag breakfast (starting at 9am). Since we had to check in to the VIP lounge by 9:20. When we arrived at the check in office it was almost 9am & there was already a line formed inside. Even though our visit was on a Monday morning (late September)- there was one staff member who did an amazing job of checking all guests in. Although it did take awhile. Thank you Clare, for taking care of us- when we caught you walking around & had some questions about the Penguin Feeding! You truly went above & beyond!

The experience staff and the keepers were awesome to allow us to touch, feed and interact with the animals. I loved we could feed or touch many of the other animals (like kangaroos, rabbits, guinea pigs) It was clean, well kept and the animals were well cared for. I love all your babies, and applaud the giraffe keepers for all the care, love and extra ordinary care for Milani. I'm so glad we could actually see her on her patio. Your facility is small enough to see everything. The chocolate chip cookies were awesome!!

The location is conveniently located by the airport and airport hotels. Upon walking in we were greeted by a very cool dining card wall, coat check, and some history about the building. As soon as we turned the corner we saw the huge B29 sitting in all of its glory in the middle of the space. It was epic. The open bar was located right in front of the nose of the plane. I want to give a shout out to the bar manager and staff. They worked so hard non stop and did an amazing job. While getting drinks several servers came around with delicious appetizers. Guests could also get in line to go inside the B29 for a tour. After cocktail hour the bride and groom flew into the reception right outside the hangar door! The staff then served us a delicious three course meal starting with Caesar salad, steak and chicken with vegetables and potatoes, and of course wedding cake. After dinner we went upstairs to see the B29 museum which offered views of the entire venue. The nine piece band entertained the guests until 11pm. This was hands down the most fun and unique wedding I have ever been to!
