Dr. Lewis himself is very knowledgeable and friendly. To answer some of the comments made in the previous Yelp: yes, in comparison to larger cities - their profile is a lot smaller. I have had approximately 8 appointments and only once I had to wait 40 minutes to see the Doctor. As with any other practice, sometimes a Doctor falls behind on schedule. The reason I chose Dr. Lewis was not due to his extensive cases, Snapchat videos, or fancy social media (he doesn't have any of that). I chose Dr. Lewis because when I went for my initial consult he didn't "sell" me a treatment option. He educated me, told me how every option would affect me then let me make the decision myself. He has always made himself available (even after hours) and he cares about the quality of his work. I would recommend Dr. Lewis's services and I would never hesitate to go back to him. I would also recommend that you (as the person inquiring about services) would speak to more than one Dr. and go with the one you find yourself more comfortable with. One of the products I use I can't even get from CVS. Anytime I need to reorder or refill a prescription, these friendly, helpful people always make it simple and easy. Talking to anyone there reminds me of the local pharmacy that I grew up using, where I knew the pharmacist for 18 years. I wasn't a fan of the doctor either who really didn't do much, I've had precancerous spots froze off for years and by far this was a joke, he barely hit them with liquid nitrogen and missed some even after me pointing out everything. Oh and it gets better after that I was hit with a $292 bill before leaving and that's after already paying the $50 office visit. I should have known better after seeing the outside condition of the building, it was all overgrown and possibly abandoned looking. Avoid this place at all costs!!!

Made 8 calls and had 4 conversations for what was assumed would be a simple process to get prescription refilled and care transferred from one doctor (Houston) this doctor (Abilene). Was given very little / confusing guidance on what needs to be completed in order for the Dr. to issue the prescripton. After determining myself, with help from the Houston Dr. office where and how to get the information needed they said the Dr. would call in the prescription. After calling pharmacy three days consecutively then talking to Dr's office each of those days was told after the 4th phone call that additional paperwork that needed to be completed along with blood work before they could call in the prescription. Since cancelled future appointment and seeking new Abilene Dermatologist. Extremely frustrating.

Anyways as anybody should know, the first impression of any business would be the front desk personnel or even how things are portrayed when you first walk in, this place was so clean inside and out you would also believe that it would probably have been open for just a week or something. These people here really do have the "Wanting to help you" attitude and even threaten me to the other Clinic where I could get a more thorough exam on what I needed. This business is the smaller of the two and you could find it right across from the larger HEB that is built here.
