She…read morealso wrote me a card which was super nice and thoughtful being that this was my first time getting my makeup done!!! I think she was in a bit of a rush because of the influx of prom appointments she had that day so my makeup was kinda done haphazardly. I would say she got like 70% of the look I requested right. I wanted a full glam gold cut crease. However, she didn't ask me what shade of gold I wanted, what color I wanted to blend the crease, or offered me glitter (which I kinda suggested to her when I showed her photos of what I wanted). My eye makeup turned out more like a halo eye than a cut crease. She also never asked me what type of skin I have (dry, oily, combination) in order to apply a suitable foundation for my face. The only skin prep she used was a moisturizing cream? and some sort of cleansing wipe. My skin is really dry so my face was creasing pretty bad by the start of my prom. The shade of concealer was way too light and started creasing about 10 minutes after she applied it. I had to suggest to use my own fake lashes I bought because the only ones she had available were drug store brand and I had mentioned I wanted full glam dramatic look. She didn't curl my lashes or apply mascara before putting on the lashes. Also, the color for my brows were the wrong shade being that my hair is black and she used a light brown. If you're not really into makeup like I am, then her service is pretty good.

I found Naty via a post I did looking for a MUA on a women's group. Tbh, I've dealt with my fair…read moreshare of flakey MUA so I was completely blown away when she showed up ON TIME. No but seriously, not only is she ridiculously talented; she's a professional through & through. I hired her at the last minute back in April for a music festival (the thought of doing mine &my sister's makeup for day 2 was more than I could bear) & she took my ideas/suggestions & totally ran with it. Naturally I booked her right after that for the iii points festival in October. I wanted her for both days b/c eff that, it was so much easier to just sit back & let her take care of us. Plus, let's be honest: lugging ALL your makeup on staycay is a pain in the ass. Cut to a few weeks ago: the forecast for the entire weekend of iii points was scattered thunderstorms &, as luck would have it, they decided to do the festival outside this year: F U N, right ?!! I was so worried that our hair & makeup was gonna get destroyed. There was ONE single stage that was actually "indoors" so we had some kind of cover. Halfway thru the 1st nite, it started pouring & we were alll the way on the other side of the festival ... aka far away from the one covered area. We put on these flimsy, cheap ass ponchos we brought with us & ran. I literally had rain running down my face & I was getting soaked thru the damn poncho. In my head, I was imagining my face streaked with makeup. Once we were out of the rain I asked my sister for a hair & makeup update: she was like 'you look pristine, not a hair or eyelash out of place'. BRO. My hair & makeup did not budge THE.ENTIRE.NITE.!!!!! We got back to the telly at 4am & I looked just as good as when we left at 8pm. I love supporting local entrepreneurs & especially young ones that are carving out a name for themselves. What makes Naty so special (besides her raw talent) is that she's poised, patient, precise, creative, & professional. She listens to you, but makes gentle suggestions to steer you in the right creative direction. I have loved collaborating with her on our looks & she never disappoints. I can't wait to for the next event ...
