Gina and her team were great! We hired them for a friend's destination wedding and it was so easy to work with Gina before the event. They were prompt and had a full setup of mirrors, lightning, chair, makeup, everything. We had 9 girls for hair and makeup and they were able to get us all done within 4 hours. They were really easy to talk to, so if you had a makeup or hair preference, it was easy to make on-the-fly adjustments. All our bridesmaids were so happy with the service, and it was seriously SO great being able to work with a professional group. GP Exclusives - Hours after my makeup still looked perfect - Makeup Artists Near Me

Planning a wedding is so stressful and vendors can be helpful or hurtful. GP Exclusives had great reviews, and I liked their pictures, so I set up a trial for makeup and hair. The makeup was pretty when they left, but after some time it looked white and greasy. They did not do a great job styling my curly hair, so I said that I would hire them only for the makeup for my wedding, but I wanted to do another makeup trial closer to my wedding date. I gave them $130 deposit to hold my wedding date. A few months later, I emailed, asking to set up my second makeup trial. The day of, I got a text saying that they would be an hour late for our 10am appointment, arriving at 11am. I called and expressed my concern, but I said that I would make it work. 11am came and went. I called and they would not answer. They would only text that they were in traffic and to be patient. That went on for 45 minutes, and finally, I had to call and cancel. I told them that I can't have them show up almost 2 hours after a scheduled time, especially on my wedding day. They did not apologize or take any responsibility for their tardiness. The assistant (who I was dealing with that day) explained that they had five crews going, and she didn't know where anyone was. Five minutes later they showed up, and I explained that I had to go, since I had other appointments to be at. I emailed them later that day, asking for my refund, since they would not be doing my makeup on my wedding day. They said that according to their contract, I signed off that no refunds would be given for cancellations. I responded that it also said in their contract that satisfaction was guaranteed and that ample time would be given. Again, they refused to take responsibility for any of their errors and just said that they were sorry that I felt that way because they did show up, even though it was 2 hours late. Every bride knows that there is a set schedule that you need to follow on your wedding day, and the fact that GP Exclusives didn't understand that showing up 2 hours late was a problem, is scary in itself. I couldn't risk working with their "time windows" on my wedding day, so obviously I had to fire them. They kept my $130 and put me in a horrible position of having to find a new makeup artist one month before my wedding. I am just thankful that I saw how unprofessional they are, so I could save myself from them screwing up my wedding day! Working with Gina and Josh was the favorite part of planning my entire wedding! I used to do modelling back in the day so I have worked with a lot of make-up artists and hair stylists, but GP Exclusives is the BEST team I ever worked with. I never felt prettier than on my wedding day. Also my bridal party (3 bridesmaids, 2 junior bridesmaids, flower girls and MOB) were very happy with their looks. I would highly recommend them to everyone and if I ever need hair and make-up for another occasion: GP Exclusives will be my first choice. On a special note: my mother, who has a big scar on her face after multiple cancer surgeries was extremely happy with her looks too. This review is embarrassingly overdue and I can't believe it has taken me this long to write. I contracted GP for my wedding. Initially, it was just for my bridal makeup and hair plus a 4/5 female relatives. After a few weeks of social media following, I added photography services because I really liked their work. This was a decision that I would make a hundred times over! Gina was professional, responsive and provided amazing ideas that really made my wedding day seamless. I cried during the exchange of vows, like full-blown ugly cry a la Kim Kardashian meme level and my makeup did not budge. About 13 hours after application my makeup and hair were still going strong that I (for a second) considered sleeping with it just to see how long it wears -- gross, I know. The pictures are stunning and perfectly captured many intimate moments with my groom from our first look to the first dance to my first lap dance as a Mrs. As an unexpected bonus, they provided a full-length video that slaps you in the face with awesomeness. My family and friends can't get enough of it and we'll often replay our favorite clips during random Sunday brunches. I highly recommend GP. This review is long overdue but I have to write it because Gina and Josh did such an amazing job with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. I don't think I have ever looked so good After the initial trial session we made some adjustments and the result was natural and lasted throught dancing, rain etc. until the next day (I was too tired to take it off after my wedding, but woke up looking amazing)! DO NOT BOOK GP FOR YOUR WEDDING! They are unreliable and will bail on you last minute, as they did to me and a girlfriend of mine. I should have known better when they were a no-show for my trial, but decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves as they seemed genuinely apologetic for not being able to keep my appointment. The morning of my wedding I woke up to text messages from Gina with a bogus story about why she couldn't make it- she didn't even have the courage to call me! So she sent me her backup, a half-talented "artist", and still had the audacity to charge me full price! This is not something a bride should have to deal with on her wedding day! They are talented, I'll give them that, but this is of no value due to their unprofessionalism. Steer clear of Gina and Josh- you do not want the burden of working with an unreliable artist on one of the most important days of your life! read more
