We arrived on time for our appt with Ms. Meri and waited 25 minutes for our cut-- which is a really long time for a toddler. She was very nice but clearly had no idea how to cut curly hair. My son has these beautiful, tight golden curls and she began by spraying them down with water. I was immediately skeptical and expressed concern that they would now be too short but she assured me everything was fine. Proceeded to take the same length off the top as well as the sides and the back. His hair wasn't even dry by the end of the blow dry and was so short on the sides and back that I could see his scalp. The whole cut didn't even take more than 5 minutes. I was close to crying. We were so looking forward to his first haircut being a fun experience but instead it was stressful and my kid left with a bad haircut for the summer. EDIT: The owner wasn't there so he has no idea what happened. We were not offered another look from a different stylist as the owner stated in his reply. And even if we were-- what could another stylist do? The hair was already gone. I expressed many times during the cut that spraying down his curls may make the cut too short and was assured many times it wouldn't be a problem once it dried. It was definitely not a trim as requested. It was a SHORT cut.

She started shaving and didn't leave any length in the back. Wanted it long on top so we had to go way shorter than we wanted. She said she had to go short because of his cowlick. He's four. We've never had this issue. So disappointed. If you want anything other than a buzz cut I would not come here. Edited to share a photo of the hack job this place did on my son since the owner tried to justify the cut on another review platform and blame me for not knowing the difference between a 2 or a 3. There is no way she'd be able to blend this. Just awful.
