Two days later I received an email from her stating that I needed to find a different stylist. I was floored and shocked. I found another salon and was told I had 3 different shades of coloring going on which indicated her lack of attention. My new salon is working with me to get my hair a uniform color. They are easy going and not on edge which is something I can't state about her. I'm grateful for finding a better salon where I feel confident that my needs are addressed. I got a call on 10/14 to confirm my appointment so I did. A few hours later I get another call asking me to "clarify" what my appointment type was, which was weird but I call back anyway and talk to the receptionist. She said my stylist was concerned about the appointment time and starts to ask questions about my hair. The very long length of my hair was not a deterrent to the time only once she heard that my hair is textured that she said she didn't actually have time to do my hair and had to cancel my appointment. I know for a fact when you go to a reputable cosmetology school they teach you how to deal with many types and textures of hair. If Arati B. is considered an elite stylist by Ulta Beauty standards but can't simply blow out 3B hair... what does that say about the company as a whole. I would check in from my place and by the time I got to the shop she would be ready to cut me hair. Well today I did the same thing I always do. Well for some unknown reason today Aleeesha and sports clips decided my check in online was not valid and Aleeesha had to skip me for someone else. When I walked in she acknowledged me and then walked to back after about 5 min 2 different stylist opened the back door looked out and shut it. Then Aleeesha came out and called someone else and when I looked at her she said she had to talk a walk in before me.... What's the point of checking in online if they don't honer it. What's worse is I went next door to Hair Cuttery and got a much better haircut and shave and it was $10 cheaper. I told the lady at hair cuttery what happened she gave me her number and told me to let her know when I wanna cut and shave and she would take care of me. I'm happy to say I'm not a proud customer of Hair cuttery.

Saw Michael for the first time- he listened carefully to what my goals were and my vision and ended up doing an amazing job. I was super nervous about cutting it so short, but he ended up pulling off exactly what I was hoping for. Now I have a super short hair cut that I have just enough hair left up front to do something with. It's so easy to style, and after living with it for a week, I couldn't be happier about it. It's so good I'm almost considering keeping it for while--which means getting it cut again to clean up the part i was thinking about growing out. Kudos to me for being brave, LOL. And super-Kudos to Michael for giving me exactly the look I was hoping for :) He mentioned that he was new and doing co-ed hair for for the first time after working as a primarily men's barber for a while. Don't let that scare you! He's awesome.
