I found out that the trip had been canceled ONLY because I reached out to the owner to confirm, since the deposit and contract was made months before, 3 days before the contractional date. Just to be texted that all scheduled trips will have to be done on a later date. No contingency plan or future discounted trip for the extreme inconvenience. A big fat NOTHING.... Unprofessional to say the least.I requested my deposit back and it took 2months before I even received that.

The path to the beach was so beautiful that I was looking at the surroundings more than I should have when I tripped and fell. My ankle was hurt and I couldn't put any weight on it. A big thank you the woman who helped me on one side while my husband was on my other side to the cart than could t make it to our location. A big shout out to the ranger who came in a cart that took us back to our car. Unfortunately, we didn't make it down to the beach, but looking forward to returning upon my healing. It's a sprain with a fracture.

Good trail mileage and interesting wetlands, but not my favorite MD State Park. The beach most…read morepeople go for is small with "muddy bay sand", and you're not supposed to go below (or above) the cliffs. That said: there's nice photo possibilities along the wetlands, and much more diverse topography than on the eastern shore. Near the parking lot are picnic areas and a playground, and there's a lot of trail mileage (better for runners than hikers IMO). Other than the boardwalk along the wetlands (final segment), try to skip the red trail - that's where all the families will be trudging, many whom haven't walked 4 miles RT in quite some time judging by the expressions I saw. You can easily combine trails for some variety or more distance. The trails are a mix of sandy-natural, gravel and boardwalk, grass, or natural dirt. Their design seems an after-thought (more for access, less for "enjoyable hiking"). Note the colocated hunting club at the north end of the park, and wear a safety vest hiking if it's hunting season. If I lived nearby, I'd be here regularly. Lots of parking. There's no gate, so no worry about being locked in at dusk. Places to go for dinner afterwards in Solomons. But as a destination, it was one-and-done.

It was a gorgeous afternoon as well and I loved being on board. The captain was very engaging and eager to answer any of our questions. He displayed much patience from making sure everyone was catching and even when I had tried from catching so much, he fished with my rod. His love for what he does really showed through. He gave us a tip for catching them and every time we did it, we hooked up. The mates were awesome and as soon as you had a fish they were there taking it off your hook and putting in your cooler. One even sampled some fresh bunker lol ;-) The captain was even helping out and I don't remember too many if any captains on my previous trips with other vessels helping out like that. A lady on board caught 80 fish! If you are a lover of spot, definitely go with Bunky's. Another boat anchored next to us and was catching as well but they charge more, almost 50% more and I have no clue why. . . . Glad I went with Bunky's. I'm more of a game fisher myself so when there is an opportunity for them I'll be back.

We always book online and there's never any trouble. If you have never been parking can be a tiny bit confusing just know that it is behind a hotel once you are there you just line up and wait to board the boat. The captain is always nice. The mates are always nice and helpful. Bring cash to tip them they deserve it. I've also Cash App a tip. The crowd is always nice helpful friendly respectful we have never had a problem. You will always come home with fish if the fish are not biting the captain will move around until he finds a place where they are biting. Of course some days are better than others, but it is still a great experience . We will continue to go every year.
