I had read good reviews about Blakeley prior but was still nervous when I went to see her the first time. I've had plenty of experiences in the past where the stylist would ask me about what type of pixie I wanted and then just go ahead and do something completely different but I am happy to report that Blakeley is definitely NOT one of those! During that first appointment, she really took the time to listen to what I wanted and would check in with me throughout to make sure that I was completely happy with the way the haircut was progressing (which I was!). I've been seeing her regularly for 9 months now and have always loved how my hair turns out every time! All that to say, she is an absolutely wonderful stylist who genuinely cares about giving you the best experience so if you are looking for someone who does a mean pixie, look no further! (Plus she's just a lovely person all-round to chat to as well!)

When I needed dark red color, customized extensions, and a whimsical half-up, half-down style for my wedding, she came through again, working tirelessly to see that my hair was perfect despite the absolute downpour and wind gusts. I had her do the styles of my three ladies, two flower girls, and myself (cut, color, and style for me). I go to Amanda, she's been the go to gal for me since I moved here six years ago. I had two requirements when I moved here and was looking for a stylist. First, I use a certain brand and I needed to stick with it and she was good with that, going out of her way to order my brand after the starter I brought from my previous stylist back East ran out. Second, NEVER let me cut my hair on a whim. Amanda has never let me make a mistake and I adore her attention to making me look good. Right on the Broadway in downtown Edmond this is a friendly salon with all ages and families coming and going. I wouldn't pick any other place in town and adore the entire staff. When Amanda was out on maternity leave, Katherine stepped in and took me on. Another time Sheila took me on when something popped up and it was seamless. LOVE these ladies!

I booked a same day haircut appointment online and arrived at the salon around 2:15. The salon is located to the left of Charleston's on Broadway. The entry doors open to a small foyer with two chairs and hand sanitizer. The salon entry is to the left. Once inside, there was ample space for movement with an open concept. I was greeted when I approached the counter and checked in. The lady with the pink hair and big smile let Alex know we had arrived and I was updated that Alex was a little behind. Our appointment started about fifteen minutes late but we were in no hurry. You can't rush perfection and it's three days before Christmas with a same day appointment! My daughter was seated in the chair and we chose a women's cut. I wanted her to feel the difference in a kids cut from Super Cuts and what Mom usually gets at a salon. This included wash, cut, dry, and style. I also let her get her eyebrows waxed. Her total hair loss was about 24" of hair. When everything was said and done my daughter hated it. It wasn't the right "shape". Alex was able to explain things like texture, hair types, and what she can do to get it closer to her photo. She was still unhappy but the feedback was well received by Alex. Remember, our appointment was running behind. With grace and a smile Alex was more than happy to fix it and go even shorter. She gave my daughter the Justin Bieber type cut she was looking for, something totally opposite of the first cut Alex had just completed based off a photo my daughter found online. That folks, is how you get repeat customers and five star reviews. Stressed, pressed for time, and still sweet as can be. Never once did she make us feel any type of way and I appreciate that.
