Too bad I remembered at the end to take a picture of the oysters! They were very fresh and delicious! To drink, I had the cantarito and my hubby a michelada. Both were so good! They have their own house miche mix and the hubby loves it. It's unfortunate they have many low reviews but they are mostly older and they've changed locations. I was impressed today and will be back!!! read more

The service is good friendly staff and they are very attentive. Atmosphere is nice they sometimes have musical performances. Overall food is not bad but I do not think it's worth the price I understand things are expensive and seafood is pricey but I believe there are other places in town less expensive. They don't give chips with your salsa it's tostadas but chips would be better. My husband loved their Molcajete it was pretty good it can be shared between two people. My favorite food from here were their shrimp empanadas they are really good and come with a tasty spicy sauce. read more

This place is overpriced. This was my first and last time eating here, the beef fajitas were not good and made me sick. The service was good. read more

We were looking for a sit down Mexican restaurant and thought this place looked good. Our waitress was very nice and was very helpful. My husband ordered the seafood soup and I ordered shrimp tacos. My husband is a huge seafood lover, and he could barely stomach the soup. There was no taste to the soup it was bland; It lacked spices. My tacos were just OK, shrimp were bland- no flavor. The salsa and cabbage mix helped a little. read more

The food was delicious. My favorite dish was the pulpo zarandeado. The octopus was coated perfectly and was tasteful. I really recommend the shrimp empanadas with cheese for first time visitors. Don't forget to add mayo! read more

If you are thinking about going here for quality Mexican food and a great dining experience....RUN! My family and I came in on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. We were a party of 10: 7 adults, 3 children. We were seated almost immediately (because it wasn't super busy)...we ordered our drinks immediately, but we didn't receive them until the end of our meal. All of our plates were brought in at random times, it was a disorganized mess. 1 or 2 of us would receive our plate of food, then the rest had to wait an additional 30 mins...then we received 2 more plates of food...then we had to wait longer, and the rest of the food finally arrived. Our appetizers arrived along with the check. Our margaritas never arrived so we had it removed from the bill. The friend chicken plate was way over fried and flavorless... the shrimp tasted like it wasn't prepped and cleaned before cooking.... We ordered "tacos de pescado", the waitress showed up with "Caldo de pescado" instead :( it was such a disappointment since we had to wait so long, only to find out that she misunderstood our order! The waitress was not attentive at all because she was so focused on flirting with the men at the other table behind us... (the receipt says her name was Hillary) it was a complete mess. Mediocre food, horrible service, disorganization, and overpriced. Do your research first and take your money elsewhere. read more

This is Tijuana Mex food. Mediocre at best. The beef was inedible as it was so tough, but the worst was six Spanglish women were loud and spouting explicatives with every sentance. Ripping apart a supposed friend with descriptions such as "Fxxxxxx Bxxxxx" I couldn't go over and ask them to pipe down as they are disrupting my lunchtime. I would have been called a "Karen" as I am white. Two Latino families sat down and within minutes got up and left. What happened to civility, politeness, restraint, curtesy and respect? What is happening to our neighborhoods? What is making the management of this place not interject? read more

Bad service. For the last 3 times we had bad experiences. This last time the shorty lady charged us 2 extra beers and they also, took a long time to come to our table to ask if we need more service even though we were the last table at that moment. Horrible service. Ordered shrimp cheese empanadas online it states a different price then in store. Lady that answered the phone was rude. To order food to go you have to be present or else they can't take your order. On top of that I ordered them with cheese and they didn't have any cheese. She said it would take 10 minutes it took 40 minutes to get order. First time they were good, second time was just horrible, and I love shrimp empanadas sad read more

I am a seafood lover and decided to try this place. I ordered the ceviche and upon receiving it, it didn't look very appetizing as it was given to me raw. Yes I know ceviche is raw except the shrimp cooks in the lime juice but mine barely had any given in a small plate. I had to order a separate bowl with extra lemons so I can marinate it. For this reason I give it a low star rating because how can you mess up serving ceviche the easiest thing to make. read more

Came back to this place because the last time we had lunch here was great !! . But this time it was different. We order shrimp tostada and a pulpo and shrimp tostada the shrimp looked raw . It was still grey . The pulpo was very chewy didnt like it at all and look like 4 shrimps were just diced and thrown on top . More vegetables the meat . I order enchiladas shrimp and a hamburger and a chicken quesadilla . I cnt believe they used the sauce for the chips on my enchiladas i had the oregano taste all day the beans didnt had salt i would of reather hve can beans .and they couldn't even make a mexican rice they serve white rice that look like risotto very disappointed.the hamburger was not good either they put carrots as topping in the burger am guessing what ever they use as salad they use for lettuce on the burgers fries were not even cook they were very soggy. Am guessing the server forgot my kids quesadilla . A chicken quesadilla came when we were almost done with all the food . I thought they would make the kids food first .nothing special bout anything. I really wish the owner looks at this and makes some changes for their own good read more

If you asked me about a star rating for this place I would just say I was shit on. The place was obviously dirty in my opinion and the food made me feel nauseous, they tried to short change me and the change they ended up giving me had a piece of scud on it, I'm worried about my health because of eating there. I fear for my life due to a nauseous feeling. I didn't mean to put two stars read more

I had never written reviews all my life, but this time I make an exception so that I can save you some time. It's been an hour now..and counting I still didn't my fish. Then later they bring some pasta and say I ordered that quickly she realizes it's not what I ordered and then ask me if I can wait longer. We'll like any normal person, I left . And off course I didn't pay for the drink I had meanwhile I waited. If you have a lottttt of time to kill, and generally don't want to have food , please you're welcome here. read more

For what they charge for their food I would expect more for my money. Ceviche was to sour...i make better ceviche and for less money. We ordered godornis/quail and when we received our plate, the smell was so foul that we almost vomited. My husband picked at it with a fork and the smell was awful. We called our waitress and let her know. All she did was grab our plate and ask if we wanted to trade it for something else. At that point we didn't want anything so she brought us our bill and charged us for two drinks and the one meal that was ok. We didn't want to argue so we paid but we will never return and tell everyone we know about our experience. You would think that she would of just let us go without paying for the remaining tab. I will never return! I just don't understand how the cook wasn't bothered by the smell and still served it! read more

We used to go to mariscos in Santa Ana & it is 5 stars. Tried this place today & im sorry but it was not good. Shrimp cocktail was so plain it needed tons of lime, salt & ketchup to taste edible. Fish tacos had so much breading that it was hard to taste the fish . My mom had shrimp with pasta & it was ok but very plain. Empanadas were good. Disappointed read more

I went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday with my boss. The environment was loud, but it didn't bother me. As custom from higher class Mexican restaurants that sit you down, we were told to take any seat we wanted. We were approached by a young waitress that took our drink orders. My boss ordered a Michelada (which was poorly prepared) and I ordered a Coke. About five minutes into the meal we received tortilla chips and salsa to snack on and we finished our drinks. The waitresses both walked past our tables and didn't ask us if we wanted a refill. No big deal. Once we were there for 20 minutes, our food was on its way to the table only to be the COMPLETELY WRONG ORDERS. Once again we waited another 20 minutes and our food finally came out... Once we started eating, I asked the waitress for another Coke yet I never received it. Bottom line: the food wasn't great, it was acceptable but for the price I paid, I expected more. The service was horrible. I'm not sure how the management works there, but they should teach their waitresses to cater to their customers. I will definitely not return here. One thing the waitress was fast about was getting the check. I'm glad she didn't charge the extra soda. You bet she didn't get a tip. read more

Do not waste your time or money here. We've only been in this town a few times and this time we wanted shrimp! Let me tell you! It's over priced and for the serving sizes and quality of the food. The only really good thing we tried was the Aguachile rojos. The beans and fries had a rancid taste, clearly the use of cheap oils being used. The camarones a la diabla we're anything but spicy and the sauce was thick and sweet and they tossed a couple of sliced jalapeños on top to make you think you the spice was there. The shrimp cocktail was nothing pleasing as well. Clearly was not made from fresh, rather frozen shrimp because it didn't have that shrimp juice flavor you get from boiling your own shrimp. It tasted like a cheap tomato juice with minimal veggies and not enough condiments to choose from. Not to mention the service. Our waitress was rude as soon as we arrived. We ordered, ate what we could and left. Even at the register she was upset she had to split our bill and griped. Clearly she wasn't having a good day. Imagine having to spend almost about $175 for your food and still walk out hungry. We don't mind spending when the food is good. Never again.. read more

I can't believe the low ratings on this place. I freaking loved it!!! First off, I was tot in the mood for Mexican and hungry as heck. I spotted this place off Broadway and decided to give it a go without even looking at it on yelp first (I was a little crunched for time, OK). I didn't have very high expectations honestly. But I went in anyway cuz I was starved and looking for a somewhat decent late lunch. Anyway, after sitting down and looking at the menu I realized this place is mexican SEAFOOD! Yuckie. =P But the waitress saw my dilemma and helped me pick out a dish that featured the cow and chicken. The food was very fresh, well made, authentic. Way more than surpassed my cravings and filled my belly with only 1/3 of my food eaten. Also, they give you limes with your chips and salsa (YUM), and they also give you a side of green salasa, which is actually hot but still has amazing flavor. Lastly, this restaurant reminds me of Mazatlan Mexico, or Cabo San Lucas... Fun times. read more

This place doesn't deserve a half of a star. Shrimp tacos were $4.00 and the asada tacos were $3.50. I've eaten tacos all over Santa Maria and have never paid $3.50 for one asada taco. I'm pissed. And the waitresses are not friendly at all. The taco truck on the opposite side of the parking lot is way tastier and they have great prices. read more

Very disappointed! The service was terrible and slow. The food was mediocre. My husband and I ordered one shrimp ceviche tostada and one carne asada taco each. We were asked to wait outside for our order, understandably considering COVID-19. However, we waited over 30 minutes before my husband went back inside to find out what the hold up was since there was only one other person ordering. He found both teenage ladies that were working there and that took our order, stuck on their cell phones while our order that on the counter. Then when we opened our order there were only 2 small stirafoam containers in the bag. I opened one of them and saw it was the shrimp ceviche tostada so I assumed the second box was the second ceviche tostada. I went back in informed the ladies that my tacos were missing, to my surprise the second box had both tacos in it . I should of checked both boxes before complaining but what I dont understand is why we were both our orders served in the same container. I wouldn't of been as upset as I was had their customer service been better and I wouldn't of been talked down to.. What really bothers me is that I am doing my best to support small businesses during this pandemic that is hurting the small business community. So when I'm treated this way and demonstrated that my patronage is not of value, that is when I decided to post this bad review. read more

I ordered for a take out and loved it. I went to pick my order up on a busy Friday night and it was ready relatively quick. I would have never ate here if I originally read the reviews but I have to say I love Mexican sea food (Mariscos). This was one of the best I have had in a while. I grew up outside of LA with many great Mariscos and this really hit the spot. I felt like I walked into a Mariscos in Mexico when I picked up my order. Last time I felt that energy and comfort was in the Yucatan a little over a year ago. Many reviews were about non sea based dishes. I would definitely go again. If you like ceviche, this place has more than most Mariscos. My wife and I had the ceviche especial and 6 camarones empanadas. They both were fantastic. read more
