No clue about the rest of the food, but trust me, the fish and chips are perfect. Hubby had a side of mushy peas and I had the curry sauce. Both were excellent. There's a choice in size of the cod, small, medium, or large, Same with the chips. They also do haddock and other things. Wish I'd taken a photo of the menu now. Seriously, if you want amazing fish and chips in a sit-down chippy, try this place. Brilliant! We'll be back next time we are in the UK. The lady there is very nice too!

After attending this shop sober, I had become aware on more than one occasion that the staff are rude and unprofessional. For some reason believing it is ok to swear and talk down their regular paying customers (as a reminder .. we pay your bills) firstly I was not given any change. Probably an assumption that I could be taken advantage of because I was probably drunk. A sly comment was made and my change was reluctantly given. Secondly they have a control issue with other customers. One customer leaned on the table and they got told off- along with a sarcastic comment about how they have no manners and must do it at home. Then when they were given their food order a comment was made about spitting in the customers pizza. After this I witnessed another customer being sworn at, at which I intervened and said that they shouldn't swear at the customers... to which was replied by '' who the fuck does she think she is? How old is she?'' The final straw was when all of my friends were asked to leave ( despite the fact we were still waiting on food to be cooked) another argument arose before being told to leave the shop. When we left the shop we were waiting outside for our other friends and the manager came outside and physically assaulted my friend by pushing him, despite the fact that we were no longer in the shop. Absolutely disgusting how we were treated tonight and had ruined my night. I will never buy food from here again, and I hope that the rude and abusive members of staff realise that working with young or drunk people is not something that is for them. Dealing with it in this manor was highly unprofessional and has left me feeling shbocked. I will not be returning again.

Over the years, I'd been to hairdressers in the places I've lived and the good one's always seem to move on! When I moved back to Bedford I found Franco again, now with his own salon and when I was looking for offices for my new business, I choose the ones's across the seat from the salon! Having had cropped short hair for years, I had tried to grow it out but not being a girly girl I don't like spending too much time on my appearance but having Franco across the street meant I could go in every week and he would wash and style for me, whilst we had business chats. He didn't even normally work on Mondays but came in at 7.30am to wash and dry two customers' hair and I got to know the other lady well too! So apart from the level of customer service that Franco is passionate to instill in his large staff too, it's all in the cut. Something that Franco does means that my now long hair grows out and doesn't look ridiculous in between cuts. Seeing as my hairdresser is 84 miles away, I can't get there as regularly as like, particularly as there is no train line between Birmingham and Bedford, but I won't change. I even waited 6 months between cuts when I was in New York! Filippo Russo are also excellent colourists too and I have watched the staff grow from being Saturday staff to becoming these experts over the years. I've also seen his son grow to be a senior stylist now and every single staff member knows me and greets me by name, despite there sometimes being months in between my visits. It's a joy to know them all!
