A+ Service -- I'll Never Go Anywhere Else…read more I want to give a heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at Charles County Surgical Arts -- you've officially changed how I view dental procedures. I came here with a deep fear of dental work due to a traumatic extraction years ago. My primary dentist, who knows how serious my phobia is, referred me straight to Dr. McElveen and his team -- and I'm so glad they did. From start to finish, this place has been nothing short of elite-level care. My consultation was smooth, thoughtful, and respectful. Dr. McElveen walked me through the best sedation option for my needs, and every step afterward was handled with professionalism and kindness. Special shoutouts: * Nurse Nicole made me feel cared for from beginning to end. * Trinity at the front desk was warm, welcoming, and kept everything moving smoothly. * And every other young lady who helped behind the scenes -- I noticed your professionalism and calm presence. Thank you. The day of my procedure? Flawless. I arrived on time, was taken back quickly, and before I knew it -- it was over. My husband was able to pull up to the side entrance (which looked like it used to be a drive-thru bank) and they wheeled me out straight to the car. Talk about first-class service. That kind of care doesn't usually happen at a dentist's office, but here it felt like I was being treated like family... or a VIP. While my husband waited, there was coffee and water available in the lobby -- a small touch that makes a big difference. He even commented on how comfortable the space was. Now for two helpful suggestions -- not complaints, just tips to improve an already excellent experience: 1. Blankets: The office was chilly (as most medical centers are), but there were no blankets available that morning. I was in short sleeves and could've used one while waiting. I understand they were being laundered, but I recommend keeping a few ready earlier in the day, especially for anxious patients like me. 2. Acrylic Nails Tip: If you're getting sedation, ladies -- consider clipping your pointer finger acrylic nail or leaving one off. The oxygen monitor has to clamp on that finger, and I didn't realize that until afterward. It'll save discomfort and make things easier for the team. Even with that, they were so attentive. My blood pressure was elevated due to nerves, and they monitored it carefully. Dr. McElveen made sure I was fully stabilized before even starting. That level of care shows integrity. And the follow-up? Exceptional. * I got a text the same evening. * I received TWO phone calls the next morning to check on me. That kind of check-in is rare -- and incredibly appreciated. If I ever need another tooth extraction, implant, or sedation-based dental procedure, I will only trust Charles County Surgical Arts. Thank you all for treating me with care, dignity, and excellence. This is how patient-centered healthcare should be done. With deep appreciation, Please check out my prior review of my consultation

My wisdom teeth extraction (three stubborn teeth) was quick (well under the estimated time) and painless. He made sure I was comfortable and numb prior to removing these stubborn erupted pushers. His assistants did a great job as well to make sure I was good. I will definitely return here if dental work is needed in the future. (Initial Communication Bump) I admit my initial consultation that had to be rescheduled cause I was stuck in darn traffic and could not make the grace period conversation with the front desk had me about to correct them quickly. Yet, the confusion was that this was my first consultation being rescheduled not the second. The young lady informed me that I will have to pay if I had to reschedule again, and I let her know I never had a prior appointment. We got things straight and she concurred it was an oversight on their end. (Payments) Co-Pay for Insurance is sometimes required upfront in some doctor offices. It depends on their process and procedures. I paid for my deposit a week or days prior to my wisdom teeth extractions and was informed that the remaining balance is due when I return to the office. Again, upfront cost to pay before service is rendered which I did not mind given I was going in for teeth removal. (End Result) All to say it ended well with a painless outcome. I am now two days post from my wisdom teeth extraction and the pain medicine is not really needed at all. I just take the other meds prescribed. No swelling a day later as well. A doctor that can deliver an outcome as such is a good doctor indeed.

My daughter is 292 lbs 16 years old and Kaiser never had an issue with finding her veins... I guess there is a difference between dentistry and phlebotomy. They started to cut in her gums without sedating her which I was charged for sedation. On another note I will give a star for the exceptional staff. They were very professional and nice. The doctors lingo didn't seem very educational... should've known
