I never write reviews but Mario was so awesome that I figured I should take the time to give him the kudos he deserves. So, let me tell you about Mario. First of all, in the first few weeks of our home hunting process, my wife happily fired several realtors. We had already found several houses we wanted to view and were anxious to get started, but at the rate we were going through realtors, I thought we wouldn't be able to view any of them until they had already been bought by someone else. Once we found Mario, though, I knew that she had been right to be so picky about the quality of our realtor. Mario was fantastic. He juggled his schedule around to fit in some viewings on the very same day that we called him, and when (like newbie home buyers) we wanted to put an offer on the first house we saw, he suggested that we look at a few more just to make sure. During the entire process, he was incredibly accommodating with his time and he always made us feel like we were his first priority. Actually, it wasn't until many weeks into our home hunting that we realized that he had a full list of other clients. :-) He always seemed so focused on us that we forgot we were sharing him. I know that he made everyone else feel the same way because I've spoken with other clients of his since then, and they have mentioned the same thing. He even went to the airport to pick up some clients who were flying in for the weekend to look for houses in Baltimore. Mario also made sure he was on-site during every single one of the inspections we had done-even when we couldn't be there. When we had questions about the details of the inspection, he was able to answer all of our questions and give us even more information that we hadn't thought to ask about. This was true during our house viewings, too. I don't know much about construction so I was mainly concerned with the aesthetics of each place, but my wife and Mario would spend at least two thirds of our time in each house standing in the basement talking about the nitty gritty details of the foundation and support beams and water pumps, etc. And in the end it was this information that proved the most helpful in deciding what house to put an offer on. Even after we bought our house, we still contacted Mario with any further new owner questions we had and he was very helpful even though we were no longer his clients. We liked Mario so much that we recommended him to family members who hired him to sell their house. This house had been on the market for YEARS-literally years-and Mario sold it in two weeks. Yes. Yes he did. :-) So to summarize everything above, Mario is awesome. We will definitely be using him for our next home purchase. read more

Review of Realtor Mario Valone Mario was referred to me from a previous client when I decided to sell my rental property in Baltimore, Maryland in May of 2017. From the beginning I found Mario knowledgeable about the local market, thorough and very timely in his response to any of my questions or requests. He worked with my property management agent to gain access to the house so other contractors could complete their estimates while the tenants were still living on the premises. He priced the house correctly according to local market conditions. He provided net proceed analyses to allow me to determine the bottom line in different pricing scenario's. When we went to contract, Mario provided online submissions to ease the paperwork. The house was ready to list in the time I specified. Mario went the extra mile to make sure the house was ready for sale. He treated the sale as though he was a surrogate owner. We had two competing buyers within the first week on the market. During the inspection we found out that the dining room floor had moisture damage. The buyer got cold feet and withdrew from the contract. This setback didn't discourage Mario and with my direction we repaired the problem, and relisted the house for sale. He worked with the second buyer, and we went to contract and closed the deal in early December. This was a seven month process, and I applaud Mario for his tenacity in not wavering from his commitment to me and my need to sell the property as soon as possible. I highly recommend Mario to any potential seller and or buyer in selling their property, especially a seller who is out of state and dealing with tenants and a management agent. Mario has a terrific "internet presence" and we felt he would interact well with younger agents and buyers who were looking for value in a home. We emphasized to him that we wanted active representation (no "post and pray") and strong recommendations from him (none of the: "Well it's your house, it's up to you!"). When asked, he felt that our home was priced appropriately for the market, urged us to perform some "staging", and said that he would immediately have an "open house" following his engagement. Our listing agreement with Mario contained everything that we asked of him. True to his word, his first open house drew 30 attendees and two contracts within the first 24 hours, one of which exceeded our asking price. After accepting the offer, we were guided by him every step of the way, answering all of our questions; dealing fairly with the buyers and their agent; and keeping in mind our best interests. We were somewhat skeptical about the glowing reviews posted about him, but we were very wrong in that skepticism. In the end we were so glad that we were able to find a young couple who bought our home. It was a "win win" for us as sellers and them as buyers. We don't think we could have done it without Mario, and we cannot recommend him enough as an agent for buyers or sellers. He definitely deserves "5 stars" from us. read more

THE BEST! I don't even know where to begin with Mario. I contacted him very early on in the process of preparing our home for sale and purchasing a new home in a different county. He provided us great suggestions on what updates to our home to prioritize, staging tips, professionals to help us, and gave me the rundown on how the process works so I felt comfortable going in. I contacted him a few times during that period and he was always very responsive and made us feel like a priority even though we were at least a year out before placing our house on the market. As a first-time home buyer I had no idea what I was doing. What impressed me right away about Mario was that he not only gracefully tolerated my cluelessness but also fully supported me in my search for a new home. We found Mario by his reviews and I was a bit skeptical because they were so overwhelmingly positive. But Mario lived up to the hype on every count! We were relatively new to Baltimore and he showed us houses in a variety of neighborhoods (and gave us a brief tour/overview of the neighborhood) until we found a neighborhood that felt like the right fit. I was new to Baltimore and as a first time home buyer I needed a knowledgeable real estate agent to guide me through the process. When touring through houses, I could tell Mario was super knowledgeable about things like how oil furnaces work, the different types of kitchen countertop styles, local parking regulations, and even very esoteric things like laws regarding what types of rooms can be rented out if I you would be interested in that sort of thing. I had lived in Baltimore and moved back wanting to settle and buy a house. I knew exactly what I wanted and -I thought I was clear, and had worked with several agents for several weeks. I was complaining to my sister and she referred me to Mario. Mario took over for another agent that I knew. He came in to handle our house (3600 sq ft on 9 acres). We had already been through 2 agents and a year of bad market and no movement. After 6 months of hard work and persistence; we had nothing. The decision was made for a short sale. 5 buyers and a year and a half later, I was ready to give up. Mario, however, stayed the course.
