Marinos has been around for years. To be honest I rarely go there, but I'm glad this place exists.
I have a little place in my heart of small, greasy, local cafes. When looking for good with my friends we often look for what we call a "scum cafe". Basically, a place that smells of bacon and looks like it hasn't been washed since 1960. Marino's isn't as bad as that, but it does qualify as a 'scum cafe'.
Let me just explain; I don't mean this place is rat-infested and unclean. It most certainly isn't. But it satisfies the need for a traditional, bacon-filled breakfast with an awful cheap tea in a polystyrene cup that tastes more like a cup than a drink.
Marinos does the job. You'll get fed, it won't cost you much. read more
