Brand new sink installed by Mr. Greg Miranda. Happy with the results. Even put everything back under the sink neatly after the job was done.

I am thoroughly enjoying my early retirement here at AMLI and feel like I'm at a secluded luxury vacation resort every day. I plan to make this my forever home after living in Beverly Hills and Bel-Air my entire life, AMLI wins hands down. One of the most impressive aspects of AMLI is the exceptional tenant care and genuine kindness from the spectacular staff who we fondly refer to as our AMLI FAMLI. Before I rave about my overall experience as a tenant, I would be remiss not to take a moment to recognize and express my sincere gratitude to the "entire" AMLI staff. My dedicated Leasing Agent, Christhel, always greets me with her bright joyful smile even on her worst day. She takes great pride in promptly satisfying me without fail and consistently goes above and beyond to exceed my expectations which has further enhanced my experience exponentially. I have also worked with Bridgette, Vanessa, Glenda, and Naja who are all very special and extremely helpful as well.   Last but certainly not least is Jeremy who oversees the complex and its nearly 600 apartment units. Jeremy is the captain of the ship and leads by example. For those of you who have managed your own homes, imagine managing nearly 600 apartment homes, not an easy job by any means. Jeremy tackles every issue utilizing his highly impressive problem-solving and managerial skills, always executing with superior professionalism and kindness. There is no shortage of fun adventurous activities at AMLI. A typical day for me includes a light breakfast and coffee on one of my two waterfront balconies, workout at our "Equinox-esque" three story Fitness Center, swim at one of our heated saltwater pools, hot tub, healthy lunch at The Hive on property, bike ride to the beach, my favorite out-of-body sunset sailing adventures, unwind on my balconies, culminating with a short stroll to one of my regular fine dining spots in the neighborhood. I no longer feel the need to take nearly as many vacations and have saved a tremendous amount of money as a result. If you are considering moving to the marina or anywhere on the westside for that matter, look no further. I thoroughly researched the entire westside and Marina del Rey marketplaces for years before I made my final decision to call AMLI my home. Do yourself a favor and schedule a no obligation tour with the leasing office today just in time for summer although year-round living is also pure heaven! If you have any questions concerning AMLI from a tenant's perspective, I have plenty of free time, please feel free to text me at (310) 801-6088 and I'll be happy to help you, or call the leasing office. Best of luck on your new life journey! Mahalo .... James

We saw a FOR RENT sign at La Maison Apartments and agreed to explore. The location is great and convenient to the beach bike/running path. My wife is looking to complete her 25th marathon. The beach path is perfect for training, especially compared to busy city streets. Alexa, the manager, politely and professionally answered my call and delighted us with her vibrant energy and outstanding hospitality. Though Alexa was not there to show us the unit in person, she provided detailed instructions that allowed us to enter the building and see the unit. Though we're in the market for a two-bedroom and there were none available, we were impressed with the one-bedroom unit. It was very nice, clean and maintained well. The building is quiet, has a garage, and looks great from the outside. We will keep La Maison Apartments and Alexa in mind. With Alexa as manager, one can't go wrong. We'd be her neighbor any day! The garage gate is electric so when the power goes out and your car is in the garage, you basically are trapped until the power returns. The elevator is really slow and constantly breaking down. Please keep this in mind if you are pregnant, disabled or elderly. 1-4 flights of stairs can prove difficult with illnesses, age, and even heavy groceries. The longest it was out for was 3.5 months. The manager, Alexa, neglected to fix it until the city had to get involved and threatened to fine her. Only then did she reluctantly fix it, up until then she kept lying to tenants by throwing out random dates that it would be fixed by. She had no compassion for those who needed the elevator and instead began accusing the tenants of breaking it. Don't believe me, ask around. Shortly after, she demanded that tenants not use the elevator for moving out even though you pay for that commodity. The unit does have a large living room, which is great but the kitchen has limited storage and had the typical "landlord special" paint job. The parking spaces are so close together, it's very difficult getting in and out of your car. Something to think about if you have children in car seats or a disability that requires a wheelchair. The laundry room is in the basement and the washers and dryers are filthy. In addition to paying rent, you will also be responsible for cleaning them yourself. I imagine all the dust down there is a huge fire hazard as well. Also, one of the dryers will ruin your clothes with brown marks. Another important thing to note is that the walls are paper thin. You can quite literally hear your neighbors conversations, TVs and music with minimal effort. If you prefer privacy and quietness, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Lastly, the sinks, the cabinetry and bathroom faucets are very old and need replacing. Not sure if that will happen. It seems that the only upgrades that are constantly happening are in Alexa's unit. I noticed most of the photos linked on this page are of her unit that she lives in for free, please don't expect all units to have the upgrades that she gives herself. The redeeming quality is the location (down the street from the beach). However, I don't think the location is worth dealing with Alexa. Trying to communicate logic to her is her biggest trigger. She doesn't speak English fluently so she aggressively argues when she doesn't understand something, which is often as oppose to communicating effectively and kindly. Her incompetence can almost seem forgivable but when it's paired with an unapologetic, rude attitude, and greed, it's audacious at best. The owner should strongly reconsider her employment before her personality and her improper managing gets her and them in serious trouble. Renters beware.

I've been waiting for the right time to bring my story about living in the Laguna Del Rey…read moreapartments to life. During the first year of my living there, I was very happy to be able to walk the beach near by with my dog and come home to a peaceful environment. I moved in the year of 2019 until 2023. The senior manager wasn't friendly at all. And that was known and felt by many who lived in the building. I once had to pay her $25.00 after misplacing the keys to my apartment to get inside. The maintenance crew lived on the property so they were available in case of emergency. However the appliances were old so the need for maintenance was frequent. All that being said I would not recommend living there if you are living alone, single as a woman. I was being harassed by the contracted workers. (See attached photos), who were often hired by the management company. With my agreement they were allowed entry into my apartment when I was there. The problem began and seemed start due to a communication issue between users of two different languages. I began asking them questions about the process they were using to repair my balcony and apparently they didn't like that. The reason for my warning for single women is because of what happened next to me. Imagine coming home and seeing vulgarity written on your door. Not just writing but images of men's private body parts. The shock of seeing this sent me into a panic and immediately I notified the senior manager that I described previously in this thread and she rejected my complaint. Because of not seeing the person who did this I went off my gut feeling and intuition. There are no security cameras in this area of the building. She went on to suggest that my daughter may had done this denying that her maintenance crew would ever have. I could only assume she based her assumptions and blame on her because she was borderline autistic. Not knowing that my daughter had lost her life a few months earlier. And that experience is not just offensive but scary for not just a single woman but for anyone. I think that sums it up well.

Condos w/ a view: about $1/2 million and up. Houses w/ a view: about one million and up. And that is just for the smaller ones in (or near) this sleepy little beach community. So when I moved here in 2002, I rented a lil 1-bdrm for $1650. Today it's $2400! That is how popular a beach view still is. It is rent controlled at least. Built in '70s. Additionally you get a lagoon and wildlife to stroll along (lagoon on W side and the wetlands on the east). Amenities include laundry rooms, pool, jacuzzi, weight room, reading room, and two sundecks that look over the marina and canal to ocean (perfect for watching fireworks & boat shows all year). It is a quiet neighborhood with friendly people. *** Cons: price, airplane noise and no pets. ***

I wish the landlords would invest a little more on properly sound proofing the walls, especially because it's close to a very busy street. The laundry room is super small. Only has 4 washers and 3 dryers. Also the app for the laundry is constantly charging people twice and getting a refund is hard. My bathtub was clogged with so much hair. I took delivery of pulling the hair out myself since I needed to fix the issue quickly. Also a lot of paint specks on the floor from what seems to be a quick paint job. The owners of this apartments did nothing to make sure the place was in top shape before someone moved in. This has been so disappointing because again I looked at other reviews and thought this was a good find. If you plan to rent here, try being on the second floor and please buy rugs for at least the bedroom out of courtesy for the down stairs neighbors since I don't think the landlords plan to invest in better insulation for the ceilings. The only thing redeeming this place are the neighbors who are so kind and the maintenance people are so efficient, helpful, and sweet. Hope this review has been helpful.
