This last time they took the time to walk me through how to fix a pretty significant issue on my own which was way beyond expected and they didn't charge me a cent for the help. If you want your boat back in worse shape than when you turned it over, then these are your guys…read more Had them quote some engine work and some rather routine boating maintenance chores -- I was told they "had a relationship with Deep Creek Marina" so they could do it there. I drove boat over in early November. Sat there for 2 months supposedly "waiting on parts". Got a call from Deep Creek saying over $3000 worth of storage charges were due -- so they really didn't have much of a relationship with Deep Creek. After much ado, they agreed to pay the storage charges since they had never mentioned anything about that -- speaking of which the boat was stored outside in the elements for all two months -- all the while, it's about a mile from our house where we have a covered lift. So after storeage was paid I went to get the boat in order to not incur more storage charges. I was told it was drivable -- got it about 100 yards out on the water before it stated sputtering. Was able to get it back to the dock so I could TOW it home. (Keep in mind this is a boat that I DROVE to them). Got it back on our lift and go to open the engine compartment -- the actuator switch to raise the engine compartment is now not working (another part that was fine when I took the boat in) so cant even raise the engine compartment to look at it. After working this out, we open the compartment to find about a foot of water in the bilge has corroded the bilge pump wires and shorted it out, so now that has to be replaced (another part that was working when the boat was dropped off). Ah, and by the way, the boat still won't run. Bottom line -- I gave them a boat that was running and I get back a boat that's not and then some...... and I'm still out a few thousand dollars. If you're looking for someone that knows boats and actually cares, look elsewhere -- Im 100% sure there are several better options.
