Each public library location had a specific date and time set up for this event. We've never experienced a "Santa Claus Story Time" before and it was really fun and different from the norm. In addition to reading several books, this Santa also sang holiday songs. This was a very holly, jolly, personable Santa with a real beard. Definitely recommend! That's why I fully support the Friends of the Kaneohe Library! Volunteers maintain the bookstore and donate items (like calendars, notepads, plushies, and knick knacks) to sell to the public at a reasonable price! Everything is categorized and labelled well. The free items are outside the shop and the Children's section is inside the second room. Remember to look at the Hawaiiana and discounted books. There are also videos, records, and games for sale! This is an amazing treasure chest! Come to Kaneohe Library now! The Friends of the Kaneohe Library's bookstore is on the ground level next to the free parking lot. Staff are so helpful and friendly - the cashier gave me a bookmarker even though I didn't buy anything this visit!

I love taking my boys here in the morning, there's no crowd and we pretty much have the whole kid/teen section to ourselves. It's calm, quiet, and peaceful. Once inside though, we were amazed of how spacey and organized it was. My husband and I were very pleased with the various selection of books for our boys that we never saw at the other location. We definitely outdid ourselves with the amount we all borrowed.

I guess when you get old it's hard to see all the small Street names and locations in the regular size map book . Now i can see with this bigger Map book I'm a happy camper so now I can be efficient in my job .
