I just know I kept thinking "oh my god is this what they're really supposed to feel like?" Before our session, Jasmine asked me if I would like medium or firm pressure and if there were any spots I'd like to focus on. I asked for medium because I was pretty tender and my upper and lower back needed some attention. There wasn't a single time I needed her to use more or less pressure it was like she knew exactly what my body needed and even found areas I didn't know needed more attention and addressed them. There was a moment the traditional peaceful music you expect at spas ended up turning off and instead of feeling the need to impulsively step away to go fix it, she was focused on my shoulders and it was clear she was very attentive to my care. As someone who was having a significant pain flare from a chronic pain disorder, as well as being bed bound from surgery and just returning back to work causing my entire body to be in severe pain, I am shocked at how I never had to grit my teeth and how calm my body felt after. I'm writing this having just coming home and the warm, peaceful feeling from my nerves is something I never experience having a medical condition that fires them off. I got the Thai Therapeutic Bodywork which was on a platform and my body has NEVER FELT BETTER!!!!! I cant remember the name of the sweet lady I had but she was AMAZING! She really dialed into my body to feel the knots and kinks and took the time to massage them, use hot stones and various stretching techniques to work them out. I was also super impressed with the perfect amount of pressure she used and she checked in periodically to make sure I was ok ;) I love a great massage but cannot tell you how many places I have gone that claim to do "bodywork" and its just a decent massage. I could not communicate well with my masseuse as she understood little English. I wanted a deep tissue massage. I got 2 hours of mostly elbows and forearms, sometimes on my spine - ouch! My hip is out, my ribs are out (after my osteopath just fixed them). I have had a good deep tissue massage before and this was not even close - lack of knowledge of how to work those muscles to get them to relax. Worse thing is the prices are what an experienced, skilled masseuse would charge. Then she hovered as I was putting my card in and mentioned tip several times. I felt pressured. I won't be back.

I've been getting massages for 15+ years. He dug so deep that he hit places I didn't even know were in pain. It was delightfully and surprisingly uncomfortable in the best way possible. He asked if I was okay and if I needed less pressure, but I told him to keep doing his thing. I walked in with a body that felt 10 years older than it is and left with a body that felt like it was 20 years younger. He released so much tension I actually hugged him. I could have cried (not from the pain haha). Not only was the massage great, the prices were some of the best I've seen in a while. I don't live close, but I will return.
