My first red flag should have been the non-refundable $50 cash before they even looked at it. 2nd red flag was a phone call 1 hour later stating the repair would cost $325. Which the heater didn't even cost that brand new! 3rd major red flag. When I stated the price of one new he told me that wasn't true that they already looked up those heaters new. 4th and final red flag! I told them not to fix it that I would pick it up. When I went to pick it up I had the Home Depot add showing the exact heater and price of $150 new. He brought the heater to me in pieces and stated that he didn't have time to put it back together. So I asked for my deposit back since that was not how I had delivered it to them. He told me that he couldn't give the money back and I could pick the broken heater back up at the end of the week so he had time to put it back together. Funny because this all transpired on a Monday morning. I hate to say it but not only was I taken advantage of but boy o boy do I feel stupid for trying to support a small business owner. Lesson learned!

The second time out it started running on one cylinder and since I was miles away on lake Jackson and thought it would be minor I took it to my mechanic there. $450 later it turned out the fuel pump (new) had been improperly installed causing part of the gasket to come apart and damage the pump etc. When I called the Savages I was told the only warranty was for the block (although I was told otherwIse). If you get any guarantee from these guys get it in writing. After I sent a copy of my bill to them they did not even call my mechanic to find out what they did wrong!
