Milano's is a charming Latin/Argentinian café with great food and a lively atmosphere. I ordered…read morethe breakfast platter, which came with hash browns, eggs, bacon or sausage and toast--simple, filling, and well made. I also tried one of their empanadas, which was delicious and packed with flavor. My friend had the breakfast sandwich which she enjoyed! The real star here, though, is the pastries. I tried a couple slices of cake and they were absolutely amazing--fresh, rich, and clearly made with care. There alfajors also melted in your mouth!! There's also plenty of seating, which is a huge plus. The only downside was the ordering process. Since it was my first visit, I didn't realize you have to take a number (similar to Publix) and wait to be called. I ended up standing in line, not knowing they were serving based on numbers instead. To add to the confusion, numbers were being called out in Spanish, which I don't speak. Once you know how it works, it's probably fine--but as a first-timer, it was a bit confusing. That said, I'd absolutely go back for the food--just probably not on a busy weekend!

In the center of the busy Shoppes at Walmart exists this Colombian restaurant called El Buen Gusto…read morewhich translates into English as "Good Taste" and that persuaded me to give them a try. The restaurant was teeming with an abundance of patrons. Strangely, the Colombian cafe serves Cuban coffee, while there are a vast selection of Colombian medium roasts to offer. Will never turn down a simplistic Cuban coffee, so I ordered my second espresso of the morning. As my espresso was brewing, I noticed over my shoulder an entire loaf of artisan bread being gently transported to an awaiting customer table, which created a smile on my face. The employee advised that the loaves hover around the $11.00 price range. Ordered a Pan de Bono to complement my espresso. Although the size was decent, the bread was unusually dry and tasteless. Based on the breakfast and lunch specials, its obvious why its so busy. The bathroom was clean with a modern pedestal sink and cute simple decor.

JAPANESE DONUTS?…read more Still not sure about the connection between donuts and Japan but the inside did portray a strong Japanese influence with giant paper umbrellas and pink flowers pasted to the walls. Beautiful gourmet donuts were stacked in the glass display case begging for attention. DONUT: Maple Bacon Cake. The oreo cookie donut also looked amazing but I'm sure mass calories. TASTE: Amazing sweet bacon crumbled onto a moist cake, although could have been softer textured. PRICE: $3.15 - great value KITCHEN: Open concept to the customers to view. BATHROOM: Very clean gender neutral and continued the pink colors with rough gray stone lower walls accented by the dark brown wooden flooring. (See Pic) My opinion of the immediate area was highly sketchy and my head was on a swivel.
