She did insist on repeating the cognitive exam , even though he'd already failed to get above 12 on 3 prior tests and had a long hx with JMH of low scores (she gets xtra compensation for giving these exams ). Not so much as a baby aspirin was prescribed. No therapies , procedures or alternatives were provided ! The worst care possible and irresponsible healthcare IMO. Then we get a certified letter from the doctors at EBN today warning us they will not provide any care or service after April 30, 2026. What care ? What service ? All you did was say 'there is nothing I can do '. But you kept dragging us down to San Ramon to collect your copays and your paycheck from our visits . I sent a email cursing you out. So you threaten me with cutting him off? That's a blessing , not a curse you worthless pos! ! Avoid them at all costs ! The worst part! I thought she was an actual provider. When my husband required a backyard ADU with handicap access , we couldn't get the loan without 2 provider letters stating he was unable to manage his legal, financial and medical affairs . She doesn't have any legal authority to write letters ! None! We wasted 3 yrs with this inadequate provider with no licensure to issue statements of fact on my husbands medical condition! Complete and utter irresponsibility and misrepresented her authority from the beginning. We thought she had licensure. Avoid them at all costs

Dr Arnold saved me from another doctor (I use that term loosely) where I received a bad diagnosis…read moreand very poor patient care. After the other doctor gave me a diagnosis that would result in brain surgery and a painful recovery, I was sobbing on the phone with my aunt who then suggested I try Dr. Arnold since she had a wonderful experience with him. He saved me from having unnecessary surgery, experimental testing, and physical pain. I would recommend Dr. Arnold to anyone who asks for a Neurologist. His office is kind of far from my home (I live in the San Ramon Valley), but it's worth the drive for someone who knows how to treat patients and will work to find the best solution to your problem. I trust him completely and I've never felt better. With his treatment, my headaches and vision issues have resolved themselves without surgery or further tests. Dr. Arnold is the best!

We had a lot of questions given our unfamiliarity in these new conditions my dad was developing. My dad sees Dr. Arnold on a regular basis now and we highly recommend him for any Neurological needs.

Updating my review 13 years later!…read more I still adore Dr. Sachdeva and her entire staff. They are so kind and truly caring. Not only has Dr. Sachdeva still been managing my Multiple Sclerosis, but she has also recently been helping treat my migraines. Sylvia, her nurse, is also just so amazing! I know I can call them and they will have my best interest at heart. It's so hard to find a neurologist with a personality, but Dr. Sachdeva is like a doctor and a mom all rolled into one. She will empathize with you but also tell you how it is, in a way that is non threatening. She is the reason why I'm on Ocrevus and haven't had any new lesions in 3 years!!! Be prepared for long waits. It can be frustrating but once you are in the room with you her, you understand why. She truly takes the time to know you, and to talk to you. You will instantly forgot how long you waited once you start talking to her!

"Professional, Friendly, Competent"…read more No one wants to have Parkinson's disease, but if you do, this doctor is a good choice. We have found her to be very sharp on the subject of neurological diseases. We asked quite a few questions, and she knew the answers right away. Clearly, she is an expert in the field. I guess that's why she wins all those awards. I noticed she again won the top Neurologist in the Bay Area award last year. The doctor recommended a certain imaging procedure to test dopamine levels in the brain. This is the best way to try to isolate Parkinson's. When we got the Dopamine results back, she was very encouraging, and immediately prescribed a particularly effective drug. We feel we are in good hands with this physician.

Once she was released from the hospital and was in an acute rehab facility, we went to see her after her most recent CT scan. We literally spent maybe 10 minutes in her office. She was curt and does not have the best chair side manner. I would ask questions in behalf of my mother and she was not very forthcoming of any information with regard to why my mother fell. She just kept repeating " there is no more bleeding and no more swelling in the brain " . " We're good" ... When we would ask questions about weakness in her lower extremities and unsteady gait she had no answers. When I asked about what we could do about finding the appropriate SSRI for her that might work better than what she was on now she skirted out of this by saying " not my department sorry" .. she barely wrote any Physician's notes for the Rehab facility. I felt it was a complete waist of time and my Mother's time. The Medical Assistant was very friendly and knowledgeable maybe she should become a Neurologist and trade places with her. We will be going back to her original Neurologist. I would give this Physician zero stars if I could.

Thank you Dr. Tang and your team…read more Beginning January 2019 I was unable to walk more than a few hundred yards without having to sit with pain reaching 7 out of 10. I also could not sleep without pills. Nights were miserable. But I could ride my bike and riding helped lower the pain level. Your diagnostic was: Lumbar spinal stenosis with lumbar radiculopathy."MRI of the lumbar spine demonstrates degenerative disc disease and foraminal narrowing particularly at L4-5 and L5-S1. It is more severe at L5-S1." You operated my back on 07/08/2019 at 08:30:00 am. Pain went away gradually and completely six weeks after the operation. Apart for a short relapse provoked by my lifting a boat (Sun Fish) a year later that went away after a few weeks, I have been healthy and doing very well ever since without taking any pain killer, whether hydrocodone or ibuprofen. I do not know how to thank you and your team for having prolong a great quality of life. I keep on doing the exercises that you recommended. Sure my back is stiff in the morning, and I sometimes develop a low-level pain under my right buttock when I drive my car for an hour. But I am now 76 and in much better shape than any of my riding friends: they all use electric bikes, but I do not. And I walk on Sierra trails without any problem. Bernard Pech

"Dr. Tang refers to himself as a "spine surgeon". He is not. Violating basic principles in placing…read moretitanium anchor screws in bone; his treatment is doomed to failure. He operated on my spine after consulting with me and discussing what I hoped to gain from the surgery. I wanted to stand for various activities without the need to sit, or lie to avoid the pain on standing. I wanted to walk without pain and finally, to stop the spontaneous lower back pain that haunted me throughout the day. Dr. Tang said, the best alternative would be a "spinal fusion". I accepted his recommendation and proceeded with the surgery. I improved and could stand and walk without pain. Several months went by and the pain returned with a vengeance. He recommended another, limited surgery which I went through. It didn't help. I lived with the pain on standing and walking hoping it would get better. After several months, I returned to see him and discuss the results of a recent lower spine x-ray. I'd seen the x-ray as well as the radiologist findings. The screws were loose in the bone noted by the radiologist. Looseness was indicated by radiolucencies, dark areas surrounding the screws. I'm a dentist and familiar with reading x-rays. I asked Dr. Tang if radiolucent areas concerned him. "No, the screws are not that important in your case." At this point, I couldn't help but ask how often screws he placed didn't integrate with the surrounding bone? "About 20% of the time". Then I asked him about getting an M.R.I. of the lower back because it would better show the soft tissue. He responded saying "There is no need. I already know what it would show." I reminded him that I continued to be in pain. He had nothing more to say. As soon as I returned home, I made an appointment at the UCSF Medical Campus Spine Center. They ordered an M.R.I. and when I met with a neurosurgeon, he had bad news for me. The previous surgery was failing. I would need an extensive back surgery. He, Dr. Nima Allen, was ambivalent about my going through with it. By now my pain had substantially worsened. I went home and wondered what I should do? Two weeks went by when I received a call from a spine surgeon's (Dr. Shane Burch) assistant reaching out to me to consult with Dr. Burch which I did. He felt the surgery would remove most of my pain and provide a normal curvature to my spine. A week later, the pain progressed to an intolerable level. I called Dr. Burch and gave him the go ahead. Fast forward to now, almost 4 months post surgical. I no longer have any back pain. I can stand for as long as I desire and I stand straight, no longer leaning to one side. Three surgeons participated in my care, a spine surgeon, a neurosurgeon and a vascular surgeon. Gordon Tang could not hope to handle my case, nor others like mine. I assume he is a competent neurosurgeon, but he is not a spine surgeon; although he claims to be one. I urge anyone reading this who might require spine surgery, to get another opinion. In fact, it's in your best interests to visit the UCSF Spine center. Stephen Kane
