BAC provides an environment that allows each student to grow and form friendships through dance. All the teachers know their students individually and always make an effort to form a connection with each each dancer. Ballet Arts Centre provides extremely strong technical instruction to its dancers, all while keeping each class fun and engaging. While many of the students at BAC focus on ballet, there are also jazz, tap, and modern classes available. I would strongly recommend BAC to any potential dancer looking for a studio.

From learning dance routines to doing solos in preparation for the recital (held at a beautiful venue), trips to NYC or Disneyworld to compete or perform all helps to build the grace and confidence you want your daughters to have. I have watched many parents leave due to petty inconveniences, but they usually return and say, "This is the best..." If you do your homework, you will learn that all teachers are college graduates and are certified by test to teach. I have been at competitions where the school has been recognized for their instruction and programs. The recital is at Collins Center for it is the largest and best venue to stage the Broadway- like production that is put on every year for the recital. Also, it is air conditioned and in late May, that is a plus! Every year during the summer, students who show promise are invited to attend Dance Education Training School. Chiampa Dance Center is a nationally recognized school. Lillian Chiampa opened the school over 70 years ago and it has a reputation that precedes itself. Her daughters have continued her ideals in instructing young girls to reach their potential. As an educator, I looked for these kind of qualities when it came to placing my daughters in a good school. I was more than satisfied... Chiampa Dance Center is a class act...

Parents are allowed to watch class in a comfortable setting. The studio is fun, bright and adorably decorated (I'm happy as soon as I walk in). Dancers wear what they are comfortable in, no set uniforms. (You can buy adorable and reasonably priced dance leotards, shoes, headbands, leg warmers etc. right there) The teacher has a wonderful disposition she expects your child to listen, respect and perform, it isn't a problem because she is so great with them they WANT to follow in class. Class starts with a short fairy tail story. Then the teacher incorporates the story into that day's class. (Fairies? Sprinkle "fairy dust" on your legs to straighten them). They also do jazz and tap as well. Children get to wear a costume at the end of class (part of the fairy tail story) and have free dance with wands or ribbon streamers. The dancers earn hand stamps for a job well done (as well to distinguish between right and left ). Also, you aren't gouged for spring recital. You aren't expected to sell multi overpriced tickets. They also have great priced school vacation or summer themed camps. Really if you are looking for a great experience in a great location don't look any further.

Jen's style is completely refreshing compared to what I stereotypically think of as a "career coach". I'd tried career coaching once before and it was awful! Jen couldn't be more different - She is a great listener and creates an open honest environment. She was extremely thoughtful in crafting assignments tailored to my needs and style and helping me see important aspects of my responses that I didn't realize. She made me feel like a part of the process and was always receptive and creative when something wasn't quite working for me. Jen is great at all the traditional stuff (identifying strengths and passions, practicing interview questions, resume, networking and negotiating). More importantly to me, she gave me the tools that helped me be more confident and thoughtful about how I communicate in the world. I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone who is looking to feel more content in their career to work with Jen!

We took an intro course where Hana instructed us. She was great with noobies like us. She easily helped to break down all of the steps. We ended up signing up for private lessons with her in preparation for our wedding. Hana has a great encouraging spirit. She also is willing to provide as much or as little recommendations as you need. We needed a lot of help, so she guided us with thoughts on narrowing down a 1st dance song, a balance of a few moves to incorporate in the dance so it didn't seem too structured or routined. Both of us started off with both left feet, and we lacked confidence. Hana gave us the tips and tools to refine our dance and our aura. On the day of the wedding, we killed the dance in front of our friends and our family. Thank you Hana for giving us the confidence to dance in front of everyone and for making us look good!

She was a phenomenal teacher for us - we were a couple with 0 dance experience, lots of anxiety, and wanted a dance that left us feeling confident we could perform it at the wedding while also having fun. And we did! She met us where we were experience wise and helped put together a STUNNING dance to our chosen song that, if I don't say so myself, we absolutely CRUSHED on our wedding day. Our guests were so impressed, we felt like we were on cloud 9, and it was just a perfect first dance. Hana provided us with a zero judgement, safe learning space. So if you're nervous like we were, don't let that stop you from seeing Hana! She would record our lessons/moves and upload video content to a shared google drive so we could rewatch when practicing at home which was super helpful too. Just truly so thankful to her for teaching us how to have fun and look great for our first dance. 15/10 recommend!!
