I decided to try Alcaraz after being with Dreamclinic for years. The appointment availability for insurance clients became very limited and inconvenient, so I looked for a place that's closer to home. I started out doing medical massage therapy and now have been getting massage for a car accident injury. I've been seeing Celia, Annuel, and Maria and they are AWESOME. Each one has a different technique/style and the combination of the three is very helpful in my healing process. I gave cupping a second try with Maria as I didn't have a good experience the first time at another clinic, and so glad I gave it another shot! She's really skilled at using cupping and I feel so much better each time. Celia has ESP abilities! She can tell what's happening within my body and how to make things better - it's mind-boggling! Annuel's approach is a great mix of gentle relief and pressure to work out tension and knots. Scheduling is super easy as Maria is very responsive in getting appointments made for you. I've been seeing Maria for my massages for over two years now. She really knows my body and what kind of pressure I want/need, depending on how I'm feeling. Since I have poor circulation in my legs that causes a lot of edema, Maria knows that I like her to focus there, unless I tell her otherwise. I've been seeing Maria for over 3 years now- first at Elements Greenlake and now at her own place. As another reviewer noted, I will follow her wherever she goes, she is fantastic. She uses a variety of techniques (cupping, stretching, massage, etc.) and is sort of a massage-physical therapy hybrid with outstanding results. She is also very intuitive and learns to read your body to figure out what needs work (as an example, she "released" my soaz muscles (deep abdominal) to help ease lower back pain, though I had no idea they were so tight). I'm now recovering from spinal fusion surgery and seeing her is the single most helpful thing I do for recovery. I've seen over a dozen massage therapists and she is the best I've found. Maria uses her hands, elbows, and some devices to perfection to soothe and relax tight muscles. Maria adjusts the massage treatment according to your needs and i always feel lighter, more relaxed, and happier afterwards. I have gotten lots of massages everywhere in the world and Maria is one of the two best practitioners. The other one is also from seattle area but retired.
