The experience is always fast, pleasant, and stress-free. I truly appreciate that when I make an appointment, the appointment time is honored. I usually pick my dog up within two hours. It's a fantastic local, family-owned business. Katie pays close attention to detail, is incredibly kind, and I love supporting someone who is part of our town and community. She also has a great selection of treats at affordable prices, and the grooming prices are very reasonable as well. Overall, it's just an amazing place. I dropped him off and he was ready in around 2 hours. They did exactly what I asked as far as the length of certain areas of his coat and did a great job getting the fur trimmed around his toes as he picks up a lot of stickers on his feet. The owners are very nice and personable, you can tell they really love animals and take good care of them. Will be coming back for sure.

No time in a cage sounded good to me, and I made contact through Yelp's site. We arrived on time and learned that the groomer had contacted our vet to get proof of a Rabies vaccination. This felt a little intrusive because I told the groomer that I would happily provide proof. No big deal, so I let it go. We arrived with a photo of my dog's breed (Cavapoo) written requests/instructions on what I hoped for, and notations on the photo. "Not too short please; left about 3/4 of an inch. Please keep her muzzle full and round. DO NOT CUT OFF HER EYELASHES." "That's too short! You'll be back in 4 weeks, and that is not a photo of a your dog's breed." The groomer said. It absolutely was a photo of my dog's breed, but it wasn't worth pressing. We were told that we would receive a call "half an hour before she is ready." We shopped and killed time. Two hours passed and concerned, we called to see if we could retrieve our pup. "She is not ready yet. She is giving me a hard time trimming around her face. We'll call you when ready; about a half hour." The thought of my little girl being on the table over two hours was concerning. We tried to do some more shopping but were too worried. We called after more time had passed. "Another 25 minutes! We'll call you." We drove over and knocked on the locked door. It was partially opened and we were told "Another 25 minutes!" We waited another 20 minutes. "That's enough!" my husband said. "Let's get our dog." We knocked on the locked door and when it was again only cracked open, we made our way in. We paid with a tip. The GROOMER DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB ON OUR DOG'S BODY, but HER LITTLE FACE WAS RUINED! Her eyelashes were gone! Her muzzle was shaved from her eyes to the tip of her nose and was shaved so close that she had razor burn. Her chin was trimmed flat. Her head was shaved so it looked like she had a Neanderthal bulge. It will grow out, but I am heartsick that I put my puppy through hours of grooming, and angry that her beautiful little face was so horribly altered. THIS GROOMER TALKS AT YOU AND DOES NOT LISTEN OR TAKE INTO ACCOUNT YOUR WISHES! It's been two weeks since this occurred. I wanted to wait 'till I wouldn't be writing this in anger, but BEWARE!

Not only did she do a great job grooming this somewhat unruly and aggressive dog, but she discovered a paw injury the shelter had overlooked and also made me aware of possible dental issues based on the dog's behavior. The dog also had dry skin and hair loss issues so she gave me some really helpful tips/info on that too. I'm so appreciative of her help and will definitely be taking my "new" old dog back to her.

After having such a negative experience at a specific vet I have mentioned previously on my yelp in…read moreTwain Harte, followed by a negative experience today at the same exact vet my mom had, we were unserviced, upset, and DESPERATE to get our poor kitty taken care of with his shots, and his belly shaved because his long coat gets matted even brushing him all day it just does he's a big fluffy boy lol. It's in the middle of July and extremely hot, keep in mind he is an adult fluffy Maine Coon breed cat, so we felt terrible he was so anxious and we were just trying to keep him cool. By GRACE of the angels, We went by Ruff House where we have gone to groom our dog before and DENISE was SO incredibly calming, reassuring, and helped out in a pinch!!! Especially to my mom, she even knew her by name as well as our pets!! Now that's 1,000 star customer service. She is the SWEETEST lady and her team just loves ours and others animals and you can tell. Not to mention she trimmed his matted belly with a couple helpers in RECORD time! And everyone left so happy! Her and her team are the absolute best in the area and we must put our trust into employees that are animal lovers and not just there for your money but because they love what they do and they care for their life, because these are our fur babies we love. I've been taking my Leo here to get groomed for the past couple of years now. We were looking for…read morea new pet salon because it was hard to schedule appointments with our current salon and I was very impressed by The Dog House Pet Salon's ability to fit us in quickly! The groomers always do an amazing job and always double-check with me about how I want Leo's hair cut. Leo hates baths and being brushed, but everyone at The Dog House Pet salon is always so patient with him! I'm also impressed with how fast the pets are groomed here. Previous groomers would book multiple dogs at a time and have Leo sitting in a crate longer than he needed to, but at this salon, the dogs are never in the crates more than necessary. Serena and her team are awesome and I couldn't recommend this pet salon enough!
