I have waited for some time to share my experience with these lawyers... I hope these are the attorneys I knew from their office in Aurora at 10700 E Bethany Drive Suite #207 ( And if they aren't I truly apologize)
Where do I begin: I truly appreciate and value Jeremy Reed's professionalism and gifted insights about the law and interpretation of the law, however, his judgement on having a practice with Matthew Margeson is cause for concern. Jeremy is reliable, fast thinking and extremely knowledgeable, available and ready to go to bat for you. He's incredibly honest and will do everything within his power to get you where you need to go . However, I have a serious problem with Matt. He's very immature and he cost me greatly in how he specifically handled my case. I find he's unprofessional, inexperienced and I regret having him represent me in my court case. He made my situation worse, he embarrassed me and he was absolutely not qualified to speak on my behalf in front of a judge. Apparently the judge I was to appear in front of has become a rigid unrealistic a$$hole, and an experienced lawyer would be prepared to know exactly how to treat the situation. Matt, apparently is a sitting prosecutor for Wheat Ridge and he's suppose to be quite versed in both positions of the law. But when he represented me, he was a complete flop. He misspoke in front of the judge on more then one occassion, he didn't fight for me when the prosecutor created unrealistic expectations of me and my sentence. He didn't fight for me on behalf of my medical situations which in turn cost me a great deal of money, lost income because I lost time at work , and most importantly, I ended up having to shell out more money to him to correct the mistake he could have easily prevented in the first place. I knew something was wrong about half way through my case, when it was brought to my attention from ANOTHER attorney who had been watching this all play out in the courtroom. This other attorney, actually came to me and discussed how poorly his performance was, and how much of joke he was to the judge. But by that time, I had invested a great deal of money and time to just get this thing over and done with. I have fought with myself over the reality of this situation and wether or not Matt had intentionally done such a poor job, to keep me paying for him to undo whatever he had done. Or if he is really just this inexperienced or unprofessional. I can't honestly say one way or the other, what I am for sure about is how awful of an attorney he is in representing you on a criminal case and how much embarrassment he has caused myself and my family through this extremely difficult and emotional time. I ABSOLUTELY do not recommend Matt Margeson I STRONGLY suggest finding another attorney who will do a much better job. I don't know why Jeremy shares a practice with Matt, unless he just hasn't seen what a poor job Matt actually does when he's under pressure and required to perform his profession. He is by far , the worst attorney I have ever dealt with and I will stay clear of him and his practice no matter what the situation might be in the future. read more
