The judge had awarded punitive damages, which I had been told was a huge win, but then that was retracted and I was told it was not a big deal. I believe he was in cahoots with the defense attorneys, he was unwilling to point out that their key piece of evidence was fraudulent even though we had certified data proving it was. I didn't even recover my expenses to be in litigation for 3 years. Winning this case- regarding the profound health impacts of toxic mold exposure- in a public forum was important not only for me and my children but for the countless people who are sick because they live in water-damaged buildings that are not properly repaired by those responsible for making the repairs. A win would have validated my knowledge- confirmed by medical reports backed by peer-reviewed research- that my children have a genetic disorder of the innate immune system that makes exposure to certain toxins extremely consequential. Due to Mr. Fuicelli'a unwillingness to put any effort into a win, my children are still suffering and will face an uphill battle as their health inevitably declines.
