This is a refurbished resort that is trying to improve. The reason for a four star instead of five stars is the room condition. We came in after the room had been cleaned and found the floors covered with humidity, the maid turned the ac off. I used a towel to wipe off the condensation, and it turned black, see photo. Dirty floors. Breakfast was included on our package. It was the same each day: -eggs -bacon -sausage -potatoes -pancakes Plus. The normal cereal, one type of bread, and one kind of so-so muffin. Nothing to write home about. But it was good, just not "resort" quality. We did see the restaurant manager checking on food, and greeting people. The coffee was good, with real half n half offered. In the evening there was a self serve s'mores table with chocolate, Graham crackers, and marshmallows. Simply take the goodies outside to one of the many fire pits. Nice. Overall we had a great time here. The unfortunate thing was we were there on a weekend there was some basketball tournament so it was extremely busy. We waited about 25 minutes to be sat for lunch at the restaurant in the hotel and they were so understaffed it took a while just to get waters. I got the steak tacos for lunch though and those were literally to die for I've been dreaming of them since. The pools were overrun by teenagers not being watched by their parents because all the parents were in the bar line or just not paying attention, felt bad for the lifeguards who kept having to literally yell at them and blow their whistles while they continued to not listen. At around 11/11:30PM I ended up in the hallway confronting a group of teenage girls who were literally screaming their heads off for whatever reason, I was trying to get my toddlers to bed and they wouldn't sleep because the girls in the adjoining room were just such a nuisance. However after telling them if they didn't keep it down I was calling security and their parents (who no surprise were at the bar), they kept it quiet the rest of the night. So overall we had a good time, room was nice and comfy, pool area overall was great aside from insane teens and drunk parents. Probably won't be back again anytime soon though. read more

Fun for kids- not at all convenient for the adults. Management is kind of useless. We were laughed at by a male staff member when addressing concerns in the waterpark. For starters, parking can be a challenge. Upon entering the park area, the kiosk machines were not working to rent out a locker. Every table was occupied so we had to find a dry spot on the ground to leave our belongings. Parties of four or five pushed tables together and staff were ok with them spreading out with meals brought from home and not purchased within the the park or onsite from the landshark bar and grill restaurant. Tickets are outtragiously priced for kids under 48 inches who are NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES allowed down ANY of the waterslides including the small slides beside the wave pool. a 47 inch 8 year old kid who can swim gets the same access as the two year old who was allowed in at no charge. (limited to the wave pool, lazy river, and kiddie section... If you want to relax in their spacious jacuzzi with a cold beverage, you will be splashed and kicked by the small children taking up most of the space unsupervised. (yes the jacuzzi was flooded with small children, children even wearing life vests) The rules are bent for outside food and beverage, as well as the age limitations for hot tub rules, but if your kid is 47 1/2inch, he is turned away from the waterslides. Staff and lifeguards look miserable and most are rude. Tables should be used for dining. It isn't fair when hotel guests reserved numerous tables immediately upon opening and occupy them for the entire day. Each guest should be limited to one table per room unless you are actually paying for the extra tables or have paid for a Birthday party. We paying $180.00 for a 3 hour visit and had to leave- we intended on purchasing food but there was no place to sit and eat. Guests could do better to be more courteous of families with toddler. There was an older woman there who reserved 3 tables for her 6 Grandchildren. She put a hotel towel on each chair and read her book, We sat on the ground nearby and couldn't help but notice, not one child had any interest in sitting and we never saw them during our visit. She was just entitled to the space and greedy. We asked her if we could use one of the tables to eat and she said No. Management really could do better to discourage that. read more

My grandson came from Ct with his family I had never been and I see so little of my grandchildren When we got there we were shocked at the price of each adult to sit and watch the kids So for an afternoon of four hours it cost 3 adults plus child $ 240. Stayed for business. Facility itself is OK- I did not experience the humid, damp rooms others commented on. My room was clean and comfortable. The food put out during the conference was probably the lowest end of the scale for what was paid- not bad, but nothing special. The bar credit card machines stopped working and they didn't put up signs and didn't tell anyone until you went to pay- then they made you charge to your room. UNACCEPTABLE, especially when the company has strict rules against it. Water "park" is tiny, pool area not easy to access and outdoor bar is??? I don't know- maybe it's there, maybe it's not- it seems to be portable and wasn't open when I was looking to use it. I would not look for this to be a resort destination, but if you need a hotel with a water feature (additional fees), you might be OK here. Again, it's just "meh" but it was clean and comfortable for me. Served its purpose for a room to sleep in and rooms for a business conference. read more

The freshly updated resort was nice. They did a great job transitioning this from the old hotel that was very run down. We got here at 1230 for an early check in at 12 that was approved as part of the pre check in. Our room was not ready until 4pm. That was a bummer. Overall the room was very nice. Check out is 11am and we were denied late check out. Checking in a 4pm and having to leave by 11am seems a bit unfair. The waterpark was well done. A lazy river, slides, and a wave pool. There was an insane amount of people in the lazy river, but we had a great time. The arcade was great for the kids. It was fairly priced and the attendants at check out both times let my son get a toy he was short a few points for! The restaurant here was quite impressive. The drinks were great and the food was solid. Overall we were impressed with the hotel, but under-impressed by the service and were deeply disappointed that we traveled 2 hours with an approved early check in, and were left sitting in the lobby until 4pm. We stayed at the brand new, renovated resort and had a nice time! Rooms are beautiful and the price was right. Spacious, bright, comfortable. I booked through Expedia, apparently the water park is only included if you book directly. We paid for the water park separately but because we were staying got a discounted rate, $25 per person and access was valid from when we purchased at 6pm until 1pm the next day, but we were given new wristbands the next day at no charge. The water park is ok, there's not a ton to do but the younger kids will be very happy, our 7 year old had a great time at the wave pool, lazy river, and using the slides. The lobby, restaurants, and facilities are all beautiful and comfortable. We really enjoyed the activities: karaoke and live animals. The day we left the activity was a magician. Food was good, don't expect knock your socks off dishes, but everything was tasty, fresh, well portioned and fairly priced. Service: - Joe's merchant cafe: really spectacular, above and beyond service. All the ladies that work there are lovely! - Land Shark: lacking, we stood at the entrance with 2 other families waiting while the bartender watched, waitress was ok, food came out promptly. - front desk: service could be much friendlier, it was tepid at best. - cleaning staff: outstanding!!! - water park staff: so friendly and accommodating! It's bright and colorful and the indoor water park is fun for a couple of hours if you're with kids, but the condition of the room when I woke up was ridiculous. During the night I felt drops of water hit me, and when I woke up I saw that the entire floor and the ceiling were covered in a layer condensation. The floor was so wet I thought there was a leak at first and the ceiling was literally dripping water. Anything that was left out was damp, including clothes and shoes. It was very unpleasant. There also seemed to be black mold above the A/C unit. What I found most troubling was when the state of the room was mentioned at check out, the attendant shrugged and told my father, "Yeah, it's humidity." When my dad asked if it had been reported before, he was nonchalantly told "yes." So it's clear that the resort is aware of the problem and they are doing nothing about it. I never write reviews, but my experience was disappointing enough that I felt others should know. This hotel is not cheap, but the comfortability of the rooms does not equal the cost. I was only there for one night and I wouldn't encourage people to book a stay there. read more

I CANNOT say enough about our trip to Margaritaville. Last year, when it was first acquired, you could tell they were getting their toes wet with what the Cape has but this year, you can tell they took a huge jump in. I'm here for Christmas this year and the staff overall has been amazing, especially considering it's Christmas Eve/Day. I checked in on 12/24. Jackson was at the front desk and made check in a breeze. He answered any and all questions I had and made sure I was across the hall from my parents (exactly what we asked for). The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The whole hotel is very clean and gracefully put together. The lifeguards in the Fins Up waterpark are friendly, attentive and are focused on their jobs at hand. I spent some time in the Landshark Bar and Grill with my mom where we sat at the bar. We ordered drinks of the holiday menu and an app of Spinach and Artichoke Dip (phenomenal). Leo and Carl are so friendly, and made our time here both fun and delicious. We also got to meet the manager, Ramya, due to an issue we had booking (not the hotels fault) and she was pleasant and helpful. Margaritaville was great last year but they blew it out of the water this year and Honestly, we can't wait for next Christmas when we come back! We love the location and being down the Cape for Christmas is so magical. read more

We stayed at the new Margaritaville on a Monday night in December. They had just opened so we were able to get a grand opening special deal. The special included 20% off of the hotel room, a $25 credit and four park passes for each day that we were there. The check-in experience was great. I did ask for no down pillows and was told that they only have pillows that are down and polyester together. I ended up sleeping on a Margaritaville pillow that seemed to not have any down in it. If you are allergic, please note that you might want to bring your own pillow. We were told on check-in that the waterpark is only open from 3 PM to 8 PM which was rather disappointing. When I called to ask how many passes we were going to receive per day, this was not told to me. Please be aware of this if you plan on using the waterpark. The updates of the lobby are incredible. It's sad to see that there's no longer a fireplace, but rather a flip-flop, which goes along with the Margaritaville decor. We stayed in room 1118 and it faced the courtyard. We were able to access the room with a Margaritaville bracelet instead of a key, which I really liked. We were also able to park right outside of the door to our hallway. We went to both of the water parks and not much has changed if you ever visited the Cape Codder resort. It looks like they may have painted a little bit, but otherwise both rooms are exactly the same. No one checked us in so we both just grabbed two towels and went right into the lazy river. The room itself was beautifully decorated. This is probably the best part of our stay. We had a room facing the courtyard and if it was nicer out, we had two Adirondack chairs outside to hang out in. The restaurants at the hotel were great, I posted reviews for each one of those individually in case you are wondering what they offer. It does look like they're breaking ground behind the hotel so I'm sure they will be expanding. Looking forward to seeing the great things at this place has to offer to our area. read more

We visited Margaritaville Cape Cod over Presidents' Day weekend during a snowstorm, and the moment we stepped inside, we felt transported to a tropical paradise. Taking over a decades-old hotel, Margaritaville did a fantastic job of transforming the space into a vibrant, island-inspired retreat. The resort is beautifully themed, with every inch embracing the Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville vibe. LandShark Bar & Grill was a highlight--great food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. The Hawaiian Luau Burger and fish & chips (with a light beer batter) were standouts, and the Key Lime Pie was a must-try. For breakfast, there's a coffee shop serving smoothies, coffee, and sandwiches, plus a reasonably priced buffet ($18 adults, $12 kids) with all the essentials. We booked the King Suite Apartment/Condo, which was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a whirlpool tub with color-changing lights and a steam shower--both incredible additions. However, while advertised for four guests, the space realistically accommodates three, as the sofa does not convert into a bed. The hotel does offer a cot for an additional charge, but they should clarify this in the room description. The resort offers a 30,000 sq. ft. waterpark, complete with 4 slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and a massive hot tub--perfect for families. Hotel guests get 50% off waterpark tickets, a great perk. They're also adding a tiki bar next to the waterpark, which will be a fantastic addition once complete. Other amenities include an arcade, nightly entertainment (magicians, movies, balloon artists), and an outdoor area with fire pits, hammocks, and lawn games--sure to be a hit in warmer months. The resort is still fine-tuning some details, with ongoing renovations to the spa and an upcoming tiki bar (possibly a restaurant as well) by the waterpark. Pricing is on the higher side, which we heard some guests mention, but this isn't a budget hotel--it's a full Margaritaville experience and you get what you pay for. They said they would send this security guard from the bar to fix my water he never showed up! Everything was broken none of the amenities were working no arcade no room service nobody would answer the phone if you tried to place an order and pick it up you had to go down and wait in line and then wait another 2 hours for your food that was extremely overpriced! $80 for Three Turkey clubs that I waited 2 hours for! The water park says you cannot bring food or water in there you need to purchase from their restaurant or their snack bar their snack bar didn't exist in their restaurant doesn't take takeout orders go figure! The water park opens at 3:00 and closes at 8:00! The jacuzzi closes whenever they feel like it and if it is open it's cold! This was just a disaster one disaster after another! I am seriously waiting for somebody to reply to my email to the manager or to my phone call back to Bill because they need to refund me something if not all of my money. How can you charge on top of a room fee a booking fee when everything is broken the charges called in an amenity charge but there's no amenities somebody please tell me how this is legal? We moved rooms after two days with no hot water means no showers. So on the third day we got to take a shower yes!and we got to watch some TV! But guess what in this new room they had all the fixings for coffee but no machine! And the heater was broken! It wasn't broken to the point where we couldn't turn it on! oh no that would be easy! The heat was on alright on and blaring 95 degrees non stop! We couldn't shut it off! The thermostat on the wall had zero power going to it. We ended up here after Water Wizz closed for the day due to weather. It was *insanely expensive* to walk in the waterpark. $60 per person, ages 3 and up. I wouldn't mind paying $60 for a place with a lot of slides and activities for my kids to do, but my 5yo could hardly do anything. There is a wave pool and a lazy river and then a toddler splashing area that gets old for an older kid after 10 minutes. The height requirement for every slide in the park is 48". Why am I paying $60 for my kid to walk in when he can't go down a single slide? He was super bummed and I felt ripped off We were already in so we were determined to have a good time. My infants had fun splashing around in the kiddie area and the shore of the wave pool. I kept glancing over at the lifeguards who were paying absolutely no attention to the kids in the pool. They were chatting friends or just staring off into space. It is not at all like Great Wolf Lodge or Water Wizz where the lifeguards are constantly moving their eyes and scanning the entire pool. The food and drinks are extremely expensive. We paid for souvenir cups and the staff tried every excuse to not give them to us. They were out of them, we didn't actually pay for them. But when we pushed back they went in the back and found them. ‍ I would not go back here with young children. It is not fun for 3+ until they reach 48" and can go down slides. Absolutely awful. We booked well in advance for a one night stay during school vacation. We pulled out kids early from expensive camps, drove 3 hours and when we got there the park was closed. We were told they had no idea when it would reopen. What irks me most is communication. We texted (the number that says both in the initial text and when you call that you can text them) to confirm when the park closed and got no response. When we checked in and learned of the closure we canceled. They said the deposit would be refunded within a couple days. Not only did that not happen, I got a bill the next morning and additional texts about checkout. I tried calling them and asked for a manager. They transferred me to eternal ringing. They finally texted back to explain the bill and the explanation was as though we had stayed and actually checked out. It's nearly 2 days later and I have emailed multiple times. Texted multiple times, and nobody has responded. There are still some charges on my credit card. What a gross experience. They don't care about the experience and clearly service recovery is not something they believe in. Find a cheaper hotel with a pool or do a day trip to great wolf instead. Very Disappointed - Not Worth the Cost We stayed at Margaritaville Cape Cod from 4/22-4/24 for my daughter's birthday during school vacation week, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. I paid $50 for a birthday package that was supposed to be in our room at 4:30 PM. We arrived after 5:00 PM to find the room completely empty. After returning to the front desk to ask about it, the "package" was eventually delivered. It consisted of two small balloons and a cake that honestly looked homemade and very poorly done. For the price and the occasion, this was unacceptable - there was no "surprise". That same night, s'mores were advertised from 6:30-8:30 PM. When we arrived at 7:45 PM, there were no supplies left, which was yet another letdown--especially for kids during vacation week. On 4/23, we attempted to enjoy the water park. It was extremely overcrowded, with limited seating and far too many guests for the space. We went to the wave pool because my daughter simply wanted to swim, but within five minutes the pool was shut down for the entire day due to what appeared to be fecal matter. No refunds or compensation were offered, even though this represents roughly half of the water park experience. We chose not to return after that. The following day, the other half of the water park was shut down, which makes you question how parents spending significant money on this resort must have felt. For what is charged per night, this is unacceptable. We were finally able to get s'mores on the 23rd, but only because we arrived 30 minutes before the start time, knowing from the night before how poorly it was managed. During conversations with other guests and staff, it became clear that wristbands were not being checked, which we also witnessed firsthand. Guests who were supposed to check out at 1:00 PM were still using the facilities well into the evening, contributing to the overcrowding and poor guest experience. I will not be returning. The only positive I can honestly give is that the room itself was very clean and beautiful. Sadly, that alone does not make up for the many issues we encountered. read more

Fins- Up Water Park- is a solid 3 stars with potential to be 4 stars or above if lifeguard staff morale is addressed by management. While on vacation I do not take pleasure in observing a life guard (female) being visibly perturbed by the children she is paid to watch in the water and rolling her eyes at them and even her fellow life guards for no apparent reason. She seemed to be the leader in distracting other life guards and treating her job like social hour, with what appeared to be congregating and commiserating . I observed behavior continue as she rotated stations. Other life guards went out of there way to be friendly to children and did their job well (Austin and Nathan) and, they stayed out of the drama. Management can look at camera footage from 12/24/24 between 10:30 and 11am at the wave pool and 11am-12pm at the lazy river. On a positive note the kids liked it. The park is very warm and humid which is great for the swimmers in the cold water. The swimmers were comfortable. I was a bystander and will dress in swim clothes next time even if not participating. One of my swimmers needed breaks of fresh air from the moderate chlorine odor and one dose of albuterol but my other 3 swimmers didn't seem to mind. The park opened at 10am, we arrived at 10:30am the lazy river was closed due to what I was told was, "sanitation for blood in the pool". I probably would advise staff not to be so specific. No one wants to hear about a blood or a turd in the pool as it's a turn off. It did reopen promptly 11 am. While inconvenient, I was pleased that protocol was followed for contamination. So solid 3 stars, It's a nice winter activity. read more

We were there for the weekend for a convention, it was the 1st time our group used this facility and overall it went well for our maiden voyage. The establishment was clean, the outside fire pit tables were great at night, they had live music in the bar. The breakfast was okay, however there are plenty of restaurants close by if you don't love what they have to offer. The decor was adorable. The halls and rooms do struggle with a bit of humidity, however I've never stayed at a hotel or house on the cape that doesn't. At no point did I smell anything musty or moldy. I did notice they'll eventually need to make their hallway doors handicap accessible (I didn't see any auto open buttons on the public access interior doors in the hallway). Our banquet food was good. Beds were comfy and the shower water pressure was great! Again, centrally located to a large commercial area so if you forgot anything you're right there and can easily get things that they don't offer at the store. read more

We had the absolute best stay here! When we first arrived, there was a slight issue with our room. Mike was eager to help and went above and beyond to get us situated. He went out of his way to continue to make sure that the rest of our stay ran smoothly. Ramya and Bishnu were a great help during this as well! We absolutely LOVED the Landshark Bar and Grill! After three days without power, I made a reservation here. As a local, I admit to snarfing at the palm trees and Caribbean vibes on Olde Cape Cod. I also knew the water park was a big hit with kids and watching gleeful kids was a delight. When we checked in the staff could not have been nicer. They were slammed with locals like us just looking to get warm yet had great patience. The hotel room was spacious and clean. All the shower products were outstanding. The bar was slammed and loud, but again understandable. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. My apologies for snarfing at the palm trees. Respect earned! read more

Went down on labor day weekend. We are big Jimmy Buffett fans. And would like to go and collect the jimmy buffet day cup. We went last year to Boston on Monday of the holiday weekend and received a cup. But on Saturday the Cape Cod location did not have any available. The web site says until September 5 th. But on August 2 they are out. The bar tender left us sitting there for 10 minutes before saying anything to us. In fact the bar back came gave us menus and apologized. It was not busy either. 0 Review - Margaritaville Cape Cod Our stay was a complete disappointment, and we ended up checking out early. At the restaurant, we asked for a chicken burger (not available) and settled on a mushroom burger. To be sure, we asked if it contained beef -- the server first said he didn't know, then came back saying it was "Angus something." Despite making it clear multiple times that we do not eat beef, we were still served it. This was not only careless but deeply disrespectful to our dietary and cultural restrictions. The restaurant manager said Bill would follow up with an incident report, but after multiple emails and waiting the entire day, nobody ever contacted us. On top of that, the poolside staff kept loudly arguing among themselves in front of guests, adding to the unprofessional atmosphere. When we went to the front desk to check out early, Bodie at reception simply shrugged it off with a casual "sorry" and no concern at all. For a resort that claims to offer hospitality, this was the opposite -- rude, irresponsible, and unaccountable service throughout. Tried the new Margaritaville Resort for dinner. The good was the entryway to the resort is very nice, the drinks, margaritas of course, were very tasty. I had the jerked chicken wrap which was just spicy enough and tasted very good. The service was good. The bad was the restaurant feels like a cafeteria, the drinks, although very tasty, were more ice than margarita, if you opted for anything other than chips, (example fries or a salad) it was extra. There was someone singing and playing guitar tucked off in a no-man's land near the bar so he was irrelevant. Overall a little pricey for what you got. read more

Deceptive advertising "surrounded by Sea, Sand and sky". Ocean is actually MILES away, although there's a free shuttle to the nearest beach (10 min cramped ride, if no traffic) Very pricey room, pricey buffet, surrounded by parking lot, highway, and noise, not as relaxing and serene as the TV ad suggested. ONE NIGHT HERE would pay for a whole week on Myrtle Beach ACTUALLY ON THE BEACH with free breakfast buffet. $$$$$$$ Lots of hype, maybe worth it if you want an indoor place for your screaming kids to run wild, but not relaxing for adults looking for a Getaway. They are undergoing a major multi-million dollar renovation and becoming a "Margaritaville" property. Having said that the value for the money paid wasn't even close. For around $250 a night, the reduced hours for their water park (3-9 during the week) which wasn't clear when booking the property, no fitted sheets on their mattresses, scrapers and paint falling off furniture, dirty hallways, leaking fridge, and generally more like a motel for $70-$120 in value, don't stay here. This was a return trip for us (went there in 2021) and it's gone so far downhill it's laughable. They should close their doors until the renovation is complete. Save your money, stay at a nearby hotel instead and perhaps then pay the $50 per person to use the water park read more

Doing this Christmas trip for 10 years. We checked in at 4 had a group of 9 rooms. easy check in one chaperone room was very far away from the group. restaurant Land Shark was great a little $$$ Kyle was the waiter he was wonderful!! Rooms very nice and clean Loud party during the night kept us all awake. Wondering why security never went to tell them to quiet down All the televisions didn't work some sort of streaming issue. I have been coming here with my family for some time now, but this is the last time I will NOT be returning * they raised the prices for the water park ( That does not come with the room ) * they micromanage towels and if you don't bring them back they charge you . I have never been to a hotel that charges for shitty breakfast it is (not included) with the $500 room.
