An absolute horror show! I went in for a shellac supreme manicure... the nail technician destroyed my nail shape & and the shellac polish started peeling off after a little under 2 hours after applying it. The polish was also not evenly applied (a lot of gaps) and the whole ordeal lasted more than an hour. A £70 manicure... also, I learned after this whole thing that there are different levels of technicians and my question is why haven't I been told that at the moment of booking so I can choose?! The refund process was also a horror show - took almost two weeks to get the refund and I had to go back to Liberty... in person (no respect for my time... or theirs). Never again! This is hands down the best place you can get a proper pedicure at in central London (I have tried more than 12 upscale manicure parlors in London so far) my story started when I had suffered for months from a hard skin ball on my left foot, and every three weeks when I go for a pedicure, it is either ' we can't touch this!' 'you have to go see a GP' or some technician will try to extract the entire ball by the clippers used for cuticle- and it is so painful and results are nil! I decided after seeing the products of Margaret Dabbs sold in Space NK to give the store a try. I booked for a medical pedicure with a podiatrist, who treated my feet and removed the aching bit with no pain at all. I can now walk happily all day long without experiencing the pain I had for months. turned out what I had on my foot is called 'corn' and it is nothing but accumulation of dry skin- it needs special filing tool, which was used on my foot and removed the cause of pain. of course nothing comes without a downside, and for this treatment the price is the ugly aspect (£80 for 45 minute treatment) but it is worth it now that I can walk with a spring in my step and smile on my face. I have tried also the manicure there, and when I have nothing critical to say about the treatment itself (very professional, efficient, and fast, they remove all cuticle and dry skin etc) it is surprisingly very pricey, even more expensive than any other high end nail salon you can get manicures at. Yesterday I gave myself some "me-time" and came back here once again. Being treated with such care and feeling special is such a pleasure. I remember a friend telling me this was the best place I could possibly go for a great pedi and feet treatment. She was so right. Also they cancelled my first appointment with one hours notice and were ten minutes late to my second. That said, excellent pedicure in a very nice environment and worth the money. I approached the new Harrogate clinic for the course of treatment and had to complete my final installment in London, due to relocating to the US. I had a pleasant experience at the Harrogate branch, the team there are very friendly, but I was quite surprised and annoyed to find that the aftercare/treatment advice was vastly different in London compared to the Harrogate branch. The London technician was very shocked to hear I had not been given any aftercare instructions or told to use Loceryl on my nail/s. He told me that without the aftercare the chances of successfully eradicating the fungal infection were far less likely. The London clinic were also unable to find or 'pull up' my information so were unsure of which nail they should treat and how many sessions I previously had. I felt like I had to guide the 'professional' through what he should be doing. This was incredibly frustrating, considering that I had paid a lot for the treatment. I had researched the best clinics to use, and believed that I would be getting the best advice and treatment with Margaret Dabbs (despite perhaps paying more that other clinics). I felt hugely disappointed that my time, money and pain, may have been wasted due to lack of proper advice or treatment. Unfortunately, my final and lasting experience with Margaret Dabbs was that the treatments and protocol across the clinics are not consistent or professional. Really excellent pedicure and manicure from therapists that can give excellent advice on looking after your hands, feet and nails. I was delighted with the results and will definitely be back! The customer service from everyone, but especially the reception team, was top notch. The only downside was the hard sell on the products. I do like to hear about products and recommendations for what I can do at home and I was in the market to buy a few products during this trip but it felt very obvious and it made me a bit uncomfortable, especially as I was pressured to pay for things in the middle of my treatment. There was obviously some tension between the therapists doing my manicure and pedicure over who got the commission on the products I bought (they had a discussion about it during my treatment and then again after my treatment but still within earshot - not ideal from the customer perspective). I was actually interested in buying a couple of more things but felt so uncomfortable about being the centre of this commission-controversy that I didn't want to ask either therapist for them and have bought online. The best pedicure and foot treatment of my life. No time limit--the experts will do what needs to be done, no matter how long it takes. Having nails done is separate and handled by excellent technicians, but the real work of dealing with blisters, calluses, discomfort, odd foot problems is handled by experts who understand skin and bone structure and understand how one's stride and one's shoes have an impact on the feet. It was such a great experience I'm not complaining that it was also much more money than the typical pedicure, which, let's be honest, does not deal with the reality of any individual's feet, shoes, walking patterns etc. This was an educational experience! But it did cost enough that AMEX called me to ask if I really had charged this much for a pedicure.... (the only other time they did that is when my husband bought my engagement ring at T&Co. If you are looking for a relaxing experience this is not the place to go. A production line of pedicures in a small space with clients waiting in the same area. Although I was q couple of minutes early for my appointment, the allocated therapist had taken a non appointment client and I was kept waiting. I prefer a to have a pedicure in a relaxing environment as part of the total experience not to share the space with several other clients, the receptionist and the shop sales area. I've done plenty research to find a place where I can do my feet to the standard I am used to from back home ! I was 8 and a half months pregnant and needed some TLC on my feet as I couldn't reach it myself ( usually I do it myself ) ! After careful research and recommendations by my sister in law , I've booked an £80 medical pedi and was sooooo excited to try it ! I wanted a treat before I head to hospital to give birth ! I'd like to add that my feet are not the prettiest and they are my weak point ( I also suffer from ingrown toenails ) so I though this will would be a nice treat ! I was very unpleasantly surprised when I realised that Margaret Dabbs renowned medi pedi was not any better I would get in my local cheap salon ! The lady that did it was very sweet but not at knew what she was doing ! My feet ended up looking worse than then I went in ! Only I was £80 lighter ! As soon as I walked out I felt like crying ! Same evening I've emailed the salon with pictures of my feet and they called me next day to apologise and offer a new medi pedi at time of my choice ! I've explained that I don't want another one as the whole point was to do It before giving birth and I've requested money back but never heard from the salon since ! A present of luxury foot treatment at the Liberty's MD outlet. My first time and enjoyed all of it. Professionally handled, well explained though as a first timer could have done with a bit more on what's going on. Once finished felt on top of the world. Left the place wondering what can one do next, the feeling is great. Ahhha yes got it have a pint of Guinness...silky smooth. And that is how it is topped off. It's a good pedicure but..... If there is nothing actually wrong with your feet and you just want to get rid of some dead skin, get your nails tidied and have some nice polish there are some great posh places that charge 1/2 of what MD does and do a very good job (and less posh places for half that again)! And £15 extra for polish, after £80 for a 45 minute nail tidy - seriously! It's all very serious and medical, my feet are lovely and smooth but i don't feel in the slightest bit pampered, just a bit fleeced. Back to Urban Retreat at Harrods next time. Also, they insisted the absolute latest appointment was 17:45, so i booked and rushed out of work to arrive on time and they left me waiting until 18:05 until the therapist was ready....... read more

I had the ultimate foot therapy at the Margaret Dabbs clinic in Marylebone a week ago, and I was disappointed with what I got for paying so much for what was named the ultimate foot therapy. The medical pedicure aspect of the treatment was good, and I'll probably go back again for just that. However it was definitely not worth paying the extra £55 for the ultimate treatment. Besides the medical pedicure aspect, I got an exfoliation, was given the oxygen therapy and sat in a massage chair for about 15mins. I don't think it's justifiable paying the extra money over and above the medical pedicure (which cost £80) for that little bit more in terms of what you get. read more

I arrived in London 10 days ago eager to walk around this great City and see many of the sights on foot. Unfortunately, a soft corn that had been hanging around between my toes was seriously cramping my style. Lucky for me, my regular route thru Marylebone took me directly past Margaret Dabs' Foot Care salon on New Cavendish St. So after the long Easter holiday, figuring, what do I have to lose?, I made an appointment for a 'medical pedicure' with one the salon's podiatrists. I'm happy to say this bright and personable young man did a marvelous job. He was technically expert, imparted lots of helpful information about my condition ( and how to avoid it in the future) and left me with much improved feet, banishing my corn and relieving the pain and pressure it had caused. I didn't get his full name, but his given name is Nico. I recommend this salon and Nico highly for their services, to any one who wants their feet too look and feel better. read more

I went in for a "supreme" pedicure. I booked the treatment because everyone seems to be raving about Margaret Dabbs but it's nothing more than really REALLY effective PR so thumbs up to the PR team. The pedicure was okay but nothing special and didn't feel thorough or indulgent as the description would like you to believe. It was just a standard pedicure that I could have gotten for half or a third of the price elsewhere! So unless you like throwing your money around, I don't recommend it! read more

VERY expensive for an ordinary manicure and pedicure. I treated myself to a medical pedicure and manicure at Liberty's on my birthday and had to pay a whopping £130 - apparently nail polish application costs an extra £15, a fact which no one had bothered to tell me when I had booked my appointment. Also, the nail polish chipped within 2 days. The girls working on the hands and feet were nice but the overall atmosphere of the salon is nothing special. My experience was dreadful. They are extremely expensive and you are under great pressure to buy their products, one of which was completely inappropriate. Furthermore, they recommended a very expensive course of treatment which, I fortunately discovered in time, was totally unnecessary. The technicians are among the best I've ever tried. It's a shame that the management is sloppy, conceited and arrogant. For those prices, one would expect not only excellent technicians (which they have) but also flawless service all round. I was given a manicure and medical pedicure gift voucher from Margaret Dabbs as a birthday treat from my family. When I went for the treatment I was charged not only for the additional products I bought but also the whole treatment. They didn't even give me the medical pedicure just a standard one. I didn't realise until I later checked prices on their website. Their customer service is appalling. Don't go there. If I hadn't rung up and queried the price we would have paid twice for the same treatment, No apology of anything. Shame on them. read more

I went to Margaret Dabbs at Liberty and I would definitely not recommend them at all. I usually go to Beauty Lounge on Kingly Street, where for £48 you get the full works, and your feet come out feeling like new. Margaret Dabbs misleadingly call one of their pedicures Sole Spa Total Pedicure, so I was really looking forward to my £45 treatment. Imagine my disappointment when it transpired to be a slapdash of some cuticle cream, a quick and shoddy file with a foot file and then the worst paint I have ever had!! It was all streaky and when I complained the girl who did it was on her lunchbreak, refused to come out and told her colleague it was becasue of the ridges on my nails. I don't have particularly ridges nails, and aren't they supposed to buff them in any case!! A total waste of money, avoid unless you have money to burn. read more
