Before I bought that equipment I was shopping around for a zero turn in yoakum and arranged to pick up one, when I got there it wasn't what I was needing so I canceled and then did some more shopping around. Then I bought the equipment i mentioned earlier and starting looking at the SCAG mowers here... after contacting the guy at the other dealer in yoakum to compare prices and how long it would take to ship a comparable Dixie chopper to the SCAG I was looking at then called to see how long it would take for this guy to get the SCAG ready I was told my business is not welcome here. AFTER SPENDING 2700 DOLLARS HERE ALREADY. He accused me of being a fraud! I then had to buy the Dixie chopper, which is a great mower btw. But I would have rather had a SCAG. I've never left a negative review on here but I wish i could've taken all my equipment back after he treated me that way. He thinks shopping around before buying a 9000 dollar mower makes you a fraud.

On Feb 5 I took a Scag Tiger Cub to be readied for the season. It sometimes did not start and the…read moreblade clutch would fail when mowing deep grass so I knew repairs were needed. However, I was considering trading it in for a new mower so I wanted it in shape to trade in or sell. At the time Larry said he had a year old Scag Tiger Cat that was his loaner that he was going to sell for a couple of thousand off of list. I told him I was probably interested but to let me know what kind of trade I could get. He said he had been at school last week so he was behind. I said no problem, I had a larger mower for now. I did not hear from him for a week so I called on Feb 13th and made sure I had given them the right phone number. He said that he had been at school last week again and had not had a chance to look at it yet. I told him that was fine, I was just making sure he had the correct phone number since I had not heard anything. Two weeks later (Feb 25th) my wife and I were again driving to town and she asked if I had heard anything about her mower. I told her no, perhaps she should call. She called to ask and the owner, Larry, came to the phone and practically shouted at her, telling her that I had called just last week (I had called 2 weeks before) and told her that he had never seen such demanding people and that he had been at school last week and was behind. He told her that we could either get off his back or come pick the mower up. My wife was speechless. She had been the one that liked his little shop (I thought it was kind of dumpy) and had insisted I have him repair the mower. She said maybe he was just having a bad day and just let him repair it. Two weeks later (1 month and 10 days to be exact) we had still heard nothing so we decided to drop by there and if the mower was ready, fine, if not, pick it up. When we went in, we asked if our mower was ready. Larry asked if we were there to pick it up. I asked if it was ready, and he said no, it was not. I replied that yes, we were there to pick it up. After that not two words were spoken to us by either him or his wife. After that not two words were spoken to us by either him or his wife. To this day I have no idea what we might have said or done that set him off. However, I will not ever set foot in his shop again, nor will I ever recommend him to anyone. Anyone with any other options should avoid this place and let this awful business die on the vine. I don't believe that people in business are allowed to have bad days, at least not to their customer base. I hope that if he reads this review it dawns on him that I was the guy that was interested in buying a new mower from him and that he lost that deal forever. Yell at me, OK, we are men, we can work it out. Yell at my wife, and he is a yellow bellied coward. I will call him out on that. You don't call ladies names over the phone. Sorry. End of a bad review on a horrible business. Grade F.

I can't say enough good things about ATX. We lost a tree to the recent drought, and after…read moreresearching local options, visited their RR12 location. The gentleman we initially met at their yard gave a tour of all the trees in his golf cart, asked us several questions about what we were replacing, and what we thought we would like to replace it with. He stopped frequently to identify the different trees, provide all the pros and cons of each variety, whether they were particularly suitable for where we live, etc. We didn't feel rushed, he was exceptionally pleasant, and was happy to answer all our questions. When we decided what type of tree we wanted, we were handed a flag, picked out the exact tree we liked best, and they delivered it in a matter of days. Their crew was friendly and efficient, and for a reasonable fee, cut down and removed the dead tree. They were finished in no time, and left the yard looking better than when they arrived. They only asked for payment when the old tree was gone, the new tree was planted, staked, watered, and we were 100% satisfied with their work. I really didn't think this level of customer service existed anymore. Go see them. You won't regret it.

As a first-time customer, we had no means of knowing that the outdoor plants shouldn't be brought inside for purchase. There was no clear signage or anything on the door that would help guide us to where we needed to go or the process to check out. We didn't appreciate how snappy Angie got with us when we made the mistake of bringing the items indoors for purchase. I had also grabbed a few items that were reserved for other customers (again no clear signage or roping was used to differentiate the areas where reserved items and up for sale items were). Again, we got a bit of a scolding from the owner because of this honest mistake. I believe with more clear signage and directions for new customers, a lot of this confusion can be avoided to help make it a better shopping experience for all. Ultimately though sales is not only about what you have to sell, but how you sell it.

I love that you're able to place an order online and go pick it up when they're open. When I went to get my order, the owner said she didn't love the look of a couple four inch starter plants I'd ordered so she sized them up to gallons for the same price, which I think is excellent customer service. I do think some of the instructions might be overwhelming/confusing to someone if it's busy or you're in a hurry and just skim over them, but I get why they have their process and it probably helps with efficiency, avoiding damage/contamination, and keeping costs to a minimum, which benefits the customer because their prices are phenomenal. I will happily follow some hand written directions when the result is I can fill my entire garden bed for less than a hundred dollars, yes please. I love the selection of native plants. I love supporting a local business vs a big box store. I love that the owners are knowledgeable and obviously care deeply about what they do. Def worth checking out soon! Fall is the best time for planting!
